Fix up the "Feedback" section

The feedback section has staff feedback threads all over the place which makes it pretty unorganized. All staff feedback threads should either be stuck or a sticky should be created with links to all staff feedback threads.

 

The way it's settled out is for the most part each staff member has ended up making their own feedback thread. I do support each one being required to make their own, then they all get posted in a sticky so we don't have 3-4 threads open for one moderator.

If there's a sticky though, almost the entire first page will be filled with staff threads and we won't have anything left for website feedback, etc.

I wouldn't mind seeing some locked threads being archived (same with suggestions) but that's all I see that needs improvement in feedback.

Not all users want to go on a scavenger hunt through pages to find a thread. If staff want feedback as much as they say - they should make it as easy as possible for members to access their threads.

Simple, create a sticky with links to respective staff threads.

There was some minor discussion about making a separate subsection within feedback specifically for staff feedbacks, I'll see if we can't make that a reality. I'm a supporter of that personally, it would remove clutter while still allowing easy access to staff feedback threads

Awesome idea blazee. This is really easy, simple, and an useful way to do it. I think this and the staff having required feedback thread is a nice idea.

Although I wonder if some staff care about the feedback they get?

Oh, I misread what you said. The staff will probably just bump all their threads when they want feedback but a sticky won't hurt. I'll support that.

What seems to be the most logical solution (at least to me) is to make a separate sup-forum under the Feedback parent board specifically meant for staff feedback.

Of course, since there's so many staff members, a sticky with each staff members' threads should still be created in that sub-forum.

If you wanted to get really creative, you could make every staff members' thread a sticky in that sub-forum, and do it in a way so that the stickied threads are ranked based on the rank of the subject of each thread. ^_^

I suggested the idea of the subsections a few days ago so we will see what happens.

I've already said it was stupid making it the way it is now.

Sounds like a very smart move and I'm sure it will be strongly considered, since staff members seem to like it as well

I guess it would make everything alot simpler similar to meet the staff, but "staff feedback" then we all have our threads there.

If you have feedback for a staff member, make a thread. That's how it was done for years and I fail to see why that doesn't work. If there is a thread sitting there already, feel free to use that one instead.
