first time at zulrah

I just got 77 magic, 82 range, 83 hp and 79 defence so I am thinking of learning to kill zulrah if its still a good moneymaker. But I have never killed zulrah before in runescape. It just feels so confusing with all rotations. Anyone have any good tips on how I can manage to kill him? And is it fine to juse mystic gear + trident of the seas and then black dhide + blowpipe or rune crossbow? If I die there can I just go back pick up my gear and teleport out?

 

Still definitely a viable solo moneymaking method.

If you die you just talk to the High Priestess to get your items back, go in max gear you can afford or your going to have a hard time learning - I wouldn't suggest going without a blowpipe even though you will probably be doing more damage with Mage throughout the fight.

I watched like every youtube guide but I never remeber where I should go when im doing it and I dont even realize which rotation I am on. Since I dont know what rotation I am on the zulrahguide.com doesnt work for me

 

Ah sorry man I think its pretty straight forward.

On the picture the location and colour of the dot represent zulrah.

So the first picture Green = Ranged and stays in the centre

Second you need to choose the rotation you get and pray accordingly, Blue West is Magic, stand where it shows you on the map and pray protect magic etc, once you have clicked the rotation it predicts the rest of the fight

 

Just keep doing it and you'll get the hang of it. Understand you will fail a few times due to the rotations.

You could have a map of rotation cycles open while you're doing zulrah.

 

This. I think it took me a solid day of trying before I got the hang of it, somewhere close to 100 deaths I think. Within a few days I knew everything by heart and now I have over 2k kill count. Just keep trying and make your own sense out of it. Having the guide from http://www.zulrahguide.com/ also helps a lot - make sure you understand it first!

 

I think I will only do one rotation until I learn it and then move on to rotation 2 etc.

you have low-tier gear which would make it harder. what are your stats? also, bring karambwans to eat during blue phase

 

Should be fine obviously better gear the easier to learn, be prepared to use lots of supplies will be very worth it once you get the rotations down.

Read the OS Wiki page aswell describes the rotations and what to pray when, don't need anti-venoms if using Serp

That is some sort of antidote and not a magic potion isn't it? If it's a magic potion just ignore me, can't remember last time I saw one of them things

your stats are on the lower end of what's recommended (especially your mage.) i may recommend getting your mage higher if you struggle with kill times.

definitely at least ahrim imo, especially with your stats

 

Yeah I know. Really hate train mage tho never been a fan of it. Im just high alching sitting and clicking forever it feels like.

 

all you need is a blowpipe and a trident, preferably toxic trident.

learn 1 rotation at a time.
if it goes to a different rotation, logout and log back in.
to begin with, have minimum gear switches.
use full mystic or ahrims whatever is fine. no range gear
bp/trident
avas/god cape
fury/occult

i recommend learning the phase with blue one after the first green thing in the centre
master that rotation. then go to the one which has green right after the centre green one.
leave the melee(red) starts for the end.

Makes me really motivated. But my plan for now is to get atleast 80 magic first

Btw, if you have the slayer level for them I'd recommend ice bursting nechs/dust devils.
Its fast exp and somewhere around break even/marginal profit.

I personally did the same at dust devils till 75 mage for trident and then I immediately went for zulrah.

I have 82 range and 76 mage atm and zulrah is easy as fuck.

Just be patient , I remember it was days before i got my first kill.

 

some of the rotation pictures are upside down and can confuse you, watch out for that and good luck.
