Go really hard on the CnC, the more helpful the merrier. ;D

no C4Ds were used, did everything by myself, except for the sprite guy of course.

Oh and it was made for Expulsion.

Bad colors and almost random effects, in desperate need of a more composed focal and effects that make that clear.

hmm well pattent pending BITCH (L)

-the lightbehind the sprite is offetting it blending, and i na good sprite it should blend very well.
-Try to use more contranst in sprite dull colors tend to not look as good

Anyhow, the sig. It lacks a good background, there is only that one effect over and over and it is not really one of to much amazement, the lighting sitting behind him doesn't really fit, and jwing what photoshop are you using?

Yeah, i DIDN'T use a c4d, so it doesn't really have any great affects, but it's not c4d whored unlike someone on top of me ;D

Just because you have c4d doesn't mean it is automatically whored. Only if it is used wrong.

You followed Emerio's/hk5sd's tutorial? because I did that tutorial ages ago.

To chaotic and flow is wild. Lacks crucial elements.

The effects are all over the place, try to make them flow in one directs the moves with the flow of the sprite/render. No effects, no background, no color. Good Luck on Improving you will get better my first sprites sucked too =o.
