First/2nd/3rd Date Ideas

We all know the typical dinner and a movie stuff. I am also looking for ideas of other things to do.


1st date - should be something easy, nothing "extreme".

3rd+ date is when you do more "thrilling" (or w/e the hell the right word there is) types of things.



So other then dinner and a movie what are some dates you guys have taken girls out on when you first started going out.

I went to my local park when me and my girlfriend started going out. We just went to this fountain thing and sat there and hungout, talked, etc. Just to mention, this is a lot easier on the wallet than dinner and a movie.

Usually the first date I would take a girl on has to fit her personalilty or it might have been mentioned beforehand in a conversation about going somewhere before we agreed to go on a date with each other. Knowing how she is like as a woman would be very helpful to help you decide where you should two go on a first date.

Personally I took my girlfriend bowling on the first date because she always smack talked me beforehand about how I bowl like a girl. You should always think if you want to talk with her most of the time or invovle some activity into the date. if you're not good at carrying conversations with a person for a long period of time, movies, bowling, mini-golfing and etc... are good date choices.

Good Luck FireZ and even though you will be on Sythe less, it's good to know you're being happy somewhere else.

First date do something really simple and not in a crowded place to give you a more 1 on 1 situation to talk face to face so cinema would be a bad idea a simple meal would be a good idea if your a good talker

The option id choose is a decent outdoor's place to go for a walk, near my town is a big resovior with nice scenery to walk around still go there with my girlfriend after nearly 2 year's

2nd date - depending on how well the first date went and how well you know her be a good time to go for a nice pub meal or my favourite get a few dvds and a takeaway (comedy dvds id reccomend) chill in your house/bed room

3rd date - if 1 + 2 go well then your pretty much ready to tackle anything if she was comfortable in your house so go wild ice skateing or something haha or score some gentlemen points if your low on ideas and just say what do you want to do you name it and well do it

I was going to go over some of the exact same points here but ladies man burnley beat me to it . To reiterate some of the important points:

First date:
Movie is always a bad idea for a first date as was mentioned there are not many moments to get to know one another, trying to gauge each others attractiveness sideways also leads to akward stares and alot of silences due to the movie, take it face to face. Take her bowling or to play pool (let her win but not noticeably) grab a drink if licensed, ask her favorite drink and try convince her to take a shooter with you then buy the cocktail/beers and hit the table/hall. You should take a break from the game dont play competitively (half time) and sit and talk dont talk about yourself much at all but ask her about herself and remember what she says. If her favorite color is pink remember that your gifts and stuff will be pink and on the later dates saying something casually about it "oh its pink too" will make her realize your actually listening and interested, I was once told to talk half as much as you listen and I find that works as a general rule of thumb Just dont let things go silently akward due to that always have back up things to say/talk about (local/global news, work/school etc)

Second date:
Now that you are acquainted you should be able to comfortably eat dinner/lunch, although letting her chose second date/third date is important being a decision making man with a plan is the way to go if you ask me. Some girls are uneasy about eating habits or perhaps diets so be prepared by choosing a nice place with a wide variety of food and asking her beforehand about favorite meals/restaurants. No fast food at all, and cooking at home may be a bit hasty but if u have ur own place own kitchen and have culinary aptitude (is that a word?) by all means a pasta and meat dish with vegetables is easy to cook, if you know ur wine red for red, white for white. A meal isnt the only way to go but should be included at some point early in the relationship. A theatre movie might be alright for a second date but thats such a cop-out to me to be honest save it for later. A dvd movie after dinner at home would work great at socializing especially if you manage to ignore the movie and just chill with her.

Third date:
This should be up to her, since a relationship is 50/50. word of advice though is dont let the decision drag on the phone or especially in person just pick her up If shes the undecisive type and cruise for a bit to figure it out Tell her you just enjoy spending time with her and be spontaneous. City dates are more easier to be spontaneous you can drop in here and there stop at parks grab a drink/coffee by now you should have her holding your arm or keeping her warm or have her wearing your jacket. You should know her favorite music genre by now so maybe a live local show, but definately fit the movie in this date or the next as your at a stage to comfortably hang and perhaps be a bit more intimate. I advise against meeting at the movies you want alot of talk time during a movie date dinner is always a great idea before a movie but not neccassary. Movies at your place are also a good idea just dont get "robo-cop killer 4 return of the monk thugs" just because you like it, a mutually agreed movie or a sappy one she has been dying to see will score more time and points with her. If you havent kissed by now if even on the cheek then re-think the fourth date lol. Yeah sorry for the unpunctuated novel just trying to help you out.

Local attractions are a plus, even though I've been dating Jess for almost a year now, we're constantly out and about hitting the city. I live in Chicago, which is probably a lot more lively than Oklahoma, but I'm sure there are a lot interesting things to do around there.

Concerts, Sports Games, Rock Climbing, Beaches, Shopping, Museums and Architecture, etc etc. Look in the local newspaper too for ideas, garage sales and parades are always a blast to attend among city sponsored events.

Typical dinner dates are extremely boring and lame. Especially if you don't do anything before/after.

I like being taken to fun places, even if they're cheap I don't care.
Arcade / Mini golf / a movie.
Things like that, THEN a nice dinner.

As a first "Date" I'd suggest just going for a walk and getting to know one another, and if one of you is hungry grab a slice of pizza.

As a more exciting date after a few dates and you're sure that you want to spend a lot of time with this person. I'd suggest saving up some money and doing something big. Shopping spree or an example: Sky diving.
Things like that.
