If you have 70+ defence and can afford guthans then you should purchase it, I can easily do without it but can do it Faster with it.

I have in possesion on 2 of my account a fire cape each

My lvl 114 got the fire cape 3 times now, it originaly got it during the release of the pits, With 71 range 50 prayer at 90 combat , but is now lvl 114 with 91 range + better stats


And my lvl 87 got the fire cape at lvl 80 with 70 range and 43 prayer, and it still has 70 range and 43 prayer which proves I can do the caves with minimum levels.

If you wish to see proof before I do the caves I can log on both accounts and prove that I have both capes on both accounts. I will not bother posting them here as there not pictures of me killing jad , but just pictures of the cape.
