Fire cape worth the 40 prayer?

I'm making an obby mauler which I plan on maxing since it's the only type of account I've never maxed on rs yet.

Anyway I was wondering if with 1 attack 99 str 1 def 1 prayer 50/60 range it would be worth getting 40 prayer to go and get a fire cape or if 1 prayer is better.


Also if any one has had an obby mauler is it better to stick with 1 attack or get 5?

 

First of all, don't get 5 attack.

Second of all, you will get more attack/strength benefits from the prayers you unlock than the cape itself, you can just check on a staking calculator if the bonuses you get from those prayers outweigh the damage you would get from training strength.

 

Stick to 1 attack. Remember when weighing the options if the 40 prayer for firecape is worth it. Not only do you get the +4 strength bonus from firecape you also get +15% for ultimate strength. Personally I would opt for the 40 prayer but that's just my opinion ofcourse.

Stay 1 attack, 13 pray> any other pray, fire cape is only +1 max hit.
