Anyway, almost 17 years later I've decided I'm tired of my name. I don't mean my Sythe.org username. I mean my real life name. Those of you who have seen my pictures might be able to think of more suiting names, but even for those who haven't, you probably know what I'm like characteristically.

If any of you have any (serious) ideas for names, I'd be interested to hear.

I won't be choosing a boring name such as James, Michael, etc., but, at the same time, I'm not going to legally change my name to something like 'Prince Yobabo'.

This is a serious thread. I'm going to legally change my name if there's one I like.

I agree with this. Most people I know don't worry about their names unless it's something embarrassing for example. You shouldn't make such a big deal about it. Yes, it is part of who you are, but like Smug said changing your name because you are 'tired' of it is overkill in my opinion. Are you going to change it in 10 years when you move into yet another stage of your life? Are you going to change it all the time just because you are tired of it? I just don't get it.

I guess there is no stopping you as it seems like your mind is made up that you are going to change your name. Just don't pick anything stupid, lame, or flashy. It would be like one of those bad tattoos that people get when they are 19 and then have to deal with it when they are an older adult.

I don't know you so I couldn't give you any suggestions but, won't you find it weird being called something different after all these years of being called what your called now by friends and family. I know if I heard my old name i'd turn and asume someone was talking to me.
