Feelings for a cartoon character

Not particularly sure how to explain myself on this one. Here goes nothing...

For whatever the reason, I find the character attractive in some kind of bizarre way (lack of a better word for 'bizarre', just; unexplainable...) I cannot explain through words, its just... there. Logically speaking the only conclusion I can ascertain is the personality of so-said character has very interesting qualities I find appealing. I've researched this somewhat and found people just attracted to the personality, not the "physical" (if you can even say that) and/or personality simultaneously. It seems so childish and almost absurd to even have to deal with, which is why I've kind of been ignoring it, but after awhile I figured I needed to at least tell a few people about it and get some help on the problem. Its just even the idea of me having feelings for an nonexistent character. I don't even know how to begin to shake these feelings. Any help you can give me to solve this problem would be excellent. Thank you.

 

I'm fairly sure it's quite common. A lot of people will talk about having a crush on someone from a TV program, even though they are in character.

I'd probably suggest hanging out with friends more often to divert your feelings.

Once you get with a woman (or a man, what ever floats your boat..) the feelings for a real person strongly over power the feelings for a TV character any day.

On a more serious note, I'd say just don't obsess over it. Or maybe even try and find a girl who likes that show too

 

I tend to get the same feelings towards certain characters. You're just interested in those personalities, doesn't really mean much.

 

Yes I am. I do hope thats the case, it would be devastating if the feelings just don't float away after I date.

I don't think its wrong don't people even fap to like cartoon stuff? i forget what its called like toon or yeah i think its called HENTI if people do that why should it be wierd for you... and don't be shy here theres prob websites with hundreds of people just like you who have this thing for cartoon characters go explore the community and talk to ppl about it

Could be a phase, would be nice to know how extreme this attraction is, I actually have knowledge on this topic as far as studies go ect Honestly mate, as long as it isn't affecting your social and sexual life, as well as your mental health, I wouldn't worry about it. But the fact you are worred would make me think you are a) watching too much porn, sometimes people begin to question their sexuality, normalness ect after finding wierd/cartoon/gay porn attractive while in reality you are just getting bored of normal porn because you watch too much.
Or b) the above does not apply and this attraction is sorta a 1 time thing. If so don't worry about it just get a girlfiriend/boyfriend/whatever the fuck youre into and move on with your life
