    Faking Happiness

I've battled depression, addiction, grief, and the common struggles we all face. After so many years, I've been able to better myself in so many ways. I see a counselor, I'm with the love of my life and have a daughter on the way. I have come a long way, but I find myself still faking happiness.

I know "happiness" isn't a tangible ultimate achievable thing. It's what we do, how we choose to live, and what we appreciate in life that makes us happy. We create our own happiness by truly living in the moment. My issue is I have so much to be thankful for and have bettered my life in so many ways.

The problem is I'm not happy. People grew tired of hearing about it after so long, I put on a front. I'm tired of wearing a mask. This is embarrassing for me to talk about, but it's something I felt like sharing. Thanks for any input and for reading.

Happiness is something so many people try to reach out for and obtain. All happiness is is the process of becoming your IDEAL self. Be who you are and you will find happiness. Everyone does things differently , we do each thing the way we do it because it makes us happy doing it that way.

Besides all philosophical and psychological advices I suggest you to visit a psychiatrist (or psychoterapeutist if they can prescribe pharmaceutics in your country). It can be a good starting point. I personally have experiences with SSRI which I have been taking for OCD and other shits for quite a while, but it also helped with my mood (it's an antidepressant as well). It might kick you in the right direction :)

Thanks for the advice man. I've been on medication for a year and a half. It has helped me substantially.
