Feel so stupid after losing grad gift

I got a grad gift today (sunglasses) that were pretty expensive and I really liked them a lot. Well anyway after I parked my car in the garage (valet style) and went to my apartment,t hey were gone. I went back and checked my car and around it and they weren't there. I"d just put the sunglasses in the case so I know I had em in the car. Point a(parking) and point b(my apt) is not very far and I would have noticed if I dropped it.

I hate to think that they were stolen because I left them, but it's the only thing that makes sense. I feel so stupid for losing something so fast when it was given to me as a gift and don't know what to do. I"m not gonna tell my uncle (who bought them for me) but I can't decide if I should buy a replacement or what. My sister said just fix my old ones because they're pretty nice but I cant tell if my attachment is to the new ones or feeling bad for losing a gift.

do you wear a hat or anything, sometimes if i'm wearing one i'll put them on that and forget all about them and proceed to run about headless looking for them for hours.

personally i would just buy a replacement set and act as if nothing ever happend to your uncle although it does suck to think about. hope you don't feel to bad bro, happens to the best of us!

nah i wish i had a hat on.. i found em online on this greymarket they call it and the website seems legit from reviews on reddit and stuff where i can pay $12/mo for them until theyre paid off so i might just do that for a few months then pay the remainder

 

Yea I'd do that, not only will it make your uncle happy every time you see em but you'll have a nice pair of shades .

 

Brain don't feel the need to buy another pair, just be honest with your uncle. We all make stupid mistakes and I'm sure he'll understand. I don't think you formed an attachment to them, it's probably you feeling shitty that you lost them.

 

But what kind of sunglasses were they? I'm actually pretty curious now. pics pls

 

I would of bought another one or kept quiet and felt bad about it till i forgot about it
