Just a note to all people participating; We have recieved some entries that did not fit the theme for this months SOTM. In future SOTM's we will no longer accept these entries if they do not follow the rules of SOTM or follow the current theme for the month.





Prizes:

Participation minirank: (Provided to anybody who participates in 3 SOTM's.)


Winner minirank: (Provided to winner of any SOTM.) Also The winner for the month will receive a competition winner rank for the following month and have the chance to sign our wall of fame!


Winner of the year: (Provided to the person who wins the most SOTM's in a one year period starting June 1st/15.)

What was the theme for this? Guessing it's futuristic but maybe should be clarified in the first post.

 

This edition has a lot stiffer competition, nice to see. Best of luck to all the participants. I know I said this last time but I definitely will participate in the next one aha

Why even employ art that doesn't fit the themes description? You rather show pity than abide to your own rules?

 

Technology ≠ Futuristic
I don't understand how most of these are "futuristic"... Anyways sent in my vote.

 

Yeah, only two signatures fit the theme imo. The next SoTM will enforce the rule/theme more strictly.

 

Hey guys,

Alot of work was put into this months SOTM submissions as you can tell by the quality of the work that was received. Seeing as we have had multiple people submitting entries that did not meet this months theme, I consulted with the leader of the CDT and we thought a warning would be better than to limit this vote to 2 (or 3) entries.

We will be enforcing the theme more harshly for the next month, if you have any feedback regarding the SOTM event please let us know here: http://www.sythe.org/community-input/1799952-community-development-team-suggestions-feedback.html

 

Enforcing the theme will just limit creativity. I say put up whatever people make to be voted on.

 

I see no problem with the theme being enforced loosely. It is up to each individual artist to interpret the theme the way they see fit and we as a collective group must vote on the submissions based upon the quality & how well it fits the theme.

For those that publicly displayed their votes, I've deleted your posts and you've received infractions. Respect the integrity of the competition.

 

I completely agree; this is how sotw works on every gfx forum i've been on ever
