What are some of your favorite Steam games that are "lesser known" or that you found by just a stroke of luck? I'm not talking your typical mainstream games that Steam has, but a more obscure game that you love.

I recently just got Rune Classic, a hack n' slash Viking type game. I really enjoy it, and am looking for other games that you guys have played and liked.

Of course I've played games like Bioshock and all that. What's a good game on Steam that you had never heard of or knew very faintly?

I just found some childhood games, pajama sam and freddie fish. Playing through them was still amusing.

I don't have any specific games to contribute, but I'll definitely be watching this thread because it'll give me some ideas of what to buy.

Lol I played the crap out of Pajama Sam and Putt Putt. Also the Backyard Football, Baseball, and Soccer games.

And yeah that's cool man. I'm interested to see what people say. My library is barren on Steam but I'm trying to change that.

I know you didn't want "main stream" games, and this may be borderline, but The Binding of Isaac is still a total gem. Fantastic game from the art style, theme, all the way to the game play. It's fun, challenging, and pretty addictive, too.

That is my type of game man!! Awesome. I will definitely give that a look. Thanks!

It's 1 dollar right now!

Definitely pick it up, such a steal for that price.

My friend just suggested this game to me. I don't know if it's popular or not but I know that it is AWESOME! It has all the stuff that I like in a game, FPS, horror, defense. I love it! Hope you like it to! :) it's 7 Days To Die.

You've probably heard of it, but FATE was always fun.

Also, a bigger game, Dark Souls games are all really good if you want to spend a lot of time on a challenging game.

Quest for Glory series if you like old point and click adventures. Quest for Glory 5 dragonfire is more of a hack and slash. Can play 3 different character types with a 4th unlockable, each with different ways to solve different game puzzles and with different side adventures, really ahead of its time. Wizard, Thief, Warrior, or unlockable Paladin. Tbh, not sure if it is on steam, I get from Gog.
