Favorite Eminem Album

What is your favorite album by Eminem ? & Explain why .

Mine is The Marshall Mathers LP, because in that album, he is more honest, & straight up then any rapper ever.
He honestly didn't care what people said, & I absolutely love that .

Anything after 1999/MMLP is garbage.

 

I disagree. Infinite was a good album, but I feel he was trying too hard with his lyrics. It sounded like it was a competition to see who could string the longest multi together. It was a good listen, but I don't think overall it was that great.

I still maintain The Eminem Show is the best album, but there are glimpses of his old style in some of his new songs on Recovery.

Ryan, The Eminem Show is my second favorite . He does show some old style on Recovery, which is also a great album, but I hate how he's going so mainstream . Now all the bandwagon kids are going to start talking about how he's the greatest, just because of Recovery .

Just like people did with Lil Wayne . He was amazing, before the Carter III . Then he went all mainstream, & now he sucks . I don't want that to happen to Em .

But back on topic . Eminem puts everything he has into his lyrics, & I've NEVER heard something by him & been disappointed . That's hard to find with modern day rappers .

& Also, Eminem & Slim Shady are two different "people" . For example, The Slim Shady LP, The Marshall Mathers LP, Encore, Relapse, & Relapse: Refill is mainly Slim Shady . He's the more violent, "I don't give a fuck" type . The Eminem Show & Recovery is more Eminem . He focuses mainly on real life, every day problems . He's not nearly as violent when he raps as Eminem .

I just like Marshall Mathers LP because he just went balls out, & said exactly what he thought . No remorse, no sympathy . I love that . He was on some "fuck everybody" type shit .

EDIT: & There's also his more underground shit that the more mainstream people haven't heard . & the shit he's done with D12 . It's all amazing . He just switches up his style .

 

Marshall Mathers LP is the only Eminem shit I can actually listen to and enjoy.

 

I love all his stuff, but my least favorite would have to be the Relapse CD's .. Still great music, just not his best .

I can listen to Marshall Mathers LP & Eminem Show all day & not get tired of it .

Recovery is my favorite so far hopefully there will e better albums in the future.

 

I did like his old, almost comedic, Rap from his old albums, however. Recovery, for me ( A Metal Fan) is his best Album, He shows much more emotion in his lyrics, which ultimately make the songs stronger.

 

Anyone who said they liked recovery is a dumb ass and has no opinion on music what so ever. Marshall Mathers Lp my choice.

Well, I don't know about you but I hate the sound of Lil wayne's voice and all these girly songs with P!nk and Rihanna that are lyrically bad.

 

Slim shady LP and The eminem show were the best to me. Encore he was on so many drugs but it was alright, relapse was crazy after rehab, and recovery is mediocre. Early crazy eminem on a good amount of drugs = the best eminem

 

Most people do only listen to Recovery just because they stay mainstream, & are probably Lil Wayne fans also . But there are also Recovery fans, like myself, who like his older, more underground shit also .

So not everybody who listens to Recovery is mainstream .
