Favorite books?

I personally like Dune and Dune Messiah, though not the others in the series, just those two.

sword of truth series, any books by Robin Hobb (farseer trology etc) harry potter ones were good, alot better then the movie, and The Da Vinci code.

Strombreaker,Hatchet and Holes. Their eyes were watching God, had to read it for english so i got the audio book, it was a good read too.

Dan Brown is a terrible writer.... It's a decent story, though.
 
Kuntz (pronounces coontz for you immature folk) has quite a few good books, my aunt got me into him.
 
I quite like the drenai series by David Gemmell, The book ive just finished reading by him is called "The first chronicles of Druss the legend".

He is a good writer in my opinion anyways.

You mean Dean Koontz? If so, he's a good thriller/mystery writer, and damn it, I forgot about A Child Called it, that was well written (even thought it was true).
 
Snow Flower and the Secret Fan by far is my favorite book.

However, I also love:
The Things They Carried
Lord of the Flies
Memoirs of a Geisha
The Lovely Bones
To Kill a Mockingbird

And of course, the Harry Potter series.
 
Harry Potter series seems to be quite popular.
 
The Obsidian Trilogy by Mercedes Lacky and James Malory

If you don't mind a dull opening, then these are great books.
 
Oooh... I can't forget Lord of the Flies. That's an awesome book :D

Chronicles of Narnai, The last book was rather Disturbing and Depressing.

But i enjoyed the whole Series.
 
Honestly, Mathew Reily's books are the best books i have ever read. And i've read ALOT of books in my time.

favorites are Temple and Contest. But honestly Just give them a try, especially any one that is into the likes of the Alex Rider Series. Even that series pales in comparison to Mathew Reilly.

Only books i have found to come close have been "Eragon" and "Eldest" by Christopher Paolini (The movie made these books look sooooo shit)


Another favorite writter of mine is Garth Nix. The "Old Kindom Series" was great. As well as "The Keys to the Kindom" Series.


if i think of more later i will add them. But seriously, if your an action junkie you HAVE to try Matthew Reily.
