Anyways, I have too many bands & artists in my library to name one. It just depends on how I'm feeling.

If you ask me on terms of how much they influenced their particular genre, though...

Pop: Beatles
Hard Rock: Ledzep or GN'R
Arena Rock: Queen
Glam Rock: KISS
Alternative Rock: R.E.M.
Heavy Metal: IronM, Black Sabbath or Metallica
Psychadelic Rock: Pink Floyd
Progressive Rock: Pink Floyd
Rock & Roll: Elvis or Johnny Cash
Ballads: Scorpions

...and I'm about done.
