First I will cite this: http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1+Corinthians+13&version=NIV
Next I will quote the first two of Buddhism's Four Noble Truths:
1. The Truth of Suffering - suffering is the sense of dissatisfaction at not having things the way you want them to be. It may be caused often by meeting something you dislike, being parted from what you like, or not getting what you want.
2. The Truth of the Cause of Suffering - All suffering without exception is caused by desirous attachment. Therefore suffering and dissatisfaction is directly related to attitudes within your own mind.

Having said that, I can safely say any desirable material qualities are irrelevant. If I focus only on the good and bad physical points of a potential partner, I will find that I can only find dissatisfaction in the bad points. Looks and other material qualities therefore should not be contrasted like this. You aren't looking at the person, you're looking at your own mental projection of who you think that person is.
Secondly, you are describing a lustful scenario without love or compassion. If you don't have love and compassion, and you desire and become attached to something for its material qualities, then you are only deluding yourself.
Therefore, in the context of this thread I say neither.
what dude?
