Doubling money

Due to a lot of boredom in runescape lately I decided to have some fun with the hundreds of so called 'legit doublers' and see how much money I could make off them.

I did this over roughly 3 hours and made just over 9m profit.

Curious too see if anyone else has done this and has made more and what's your opinion on this.

 

Did it, got to 900k, got greedy, now I have none. Started with 50k though so, nb. Nice gains though!

 

Not bad man, yeh I lost a few big trades as well, makes it more interesting lol.

 

I didn't think people actually did this. I'm guessing you just trade a bunch of them smaller amounts and make a profit (assuming their hope is eventually you give them a shit ton and they run with it)?

 

Yeah, pretty much. But the funny thing is that people on Runescape are willing to scam like 500K and run away. Do people even get banned for this sort of stuff?

It falls under item scamming and you can get muted/banned for it, but I feel like not much is being done about it.

 

Potentially new money making method, aye?

This is cool but it can lead to losing bank if you don't know when to cash out lol.

 

Unlikely to get banned for this but you will get muted eventually - especially if you go big and do it in p2p

EDIT: Though usually not permanent unless you're a repeat offender

Can't believe people actually fall for the doubling money scam.

 

Someone I know did it backwards; he paid people out legit then ended up scamming them in the long run.
