faster loading

so i have a like 1/4 finished program that i just found... it uses the archive to update the sections... and then it uses just the basic text + pre downloaded images and formatting to recreate the sythe pages without using very much activity talking to the server (it gets the threads and posts whenever you load something, but all of the images, formatting, and sections are only updated when you chose to update them, so less people will be loading pages at the same time and ill stop getting the server full thing so ya, i was wondering if i finished it if it would actualy be something that would be used here to speed it up( i know there's gears, but i dont think its exactly the same + its incompatible with my browser (Firefox 1.6)

and to avoid having to actually using a proxy and figuring out your ip (alot of people do their local ip :/) i made this: http://www.projectpoxy.info/sytheip.php
it automatically gets your ip and then submits it to your forum serverside(i think :S) so would you guys use that for sythe also?

 

I'm not sure what this means, but faster loading is always asked. Sythe has a very good server already, and unless your donating lots of money, don't complain.

 

Your lack of basic sentence structure makes your suggestion hard to understand. Can you elaborate?

 

I found a half finished program on my computer.
It was for running sythe faster by creating a local copy of the html, css, js, images and stuff like that. It can update those through a button that re-downloads them. It uses the archive to get the threads and posts, which are updated every time a page is loaded, but the sections are updated monthly, or again on request. It is designed so that all of the gfx and code is local but post text, threads, and users are updated when that area is loaded. This required very little transmitting between the server and client, thus allowing more people using it at once during peak times.
I was wondering if this would be a good feature for sythe (to have a program keep the site structured locally) or if i should just get rid of it. I mean i know its like gears but gears is incompatible with my browser right now(firefox 1.6 beta). So ya... hope that clears that part up

and for the ip block thing...
I made a php page that automatically gets the ip of the person loading it, and then executes the sythe ip unblock forum server-side, thus allowing people to not accidentally entering the wrong ip or having to use a proxy.
