WDIB Ban Appeal

Click here for the "report a scammer" post done by @boethig, where my Sythe account was used to steal 75m OSRS GP from him.

I have reason to believe that the Sythe user/password database has been hacked, as my Sythe account was compromised. I will explain below:

- Boetheg was scammed on the 8th of July. I last used Sythe on the 7th of July before being banned. My password changed on the 8th, and I changed it back on the 13th, as shown below on my Sythe account's email ([email protected]). Also note that the email picture below contains a phishing email, which I find strange as I've ONLY used this e-mail for Sythe.




- Furthermore, my IP has always been based in Qatar (and sometimes in Jordan). You can check that yourself. As per @boethig's scam report though, it seems that the scammer's Skype was based in the US, and @Dave's post directly below it shows the scammer as a vader, because of him logging on from that US IP previously. Note: I have never been to the US.



- Also, please note that my Skype address was never "live:zeusmanuel0", as shown in the scam report. My Skype is Walid_Dib, which is my real name, which I've also used before on this website to make purchases.

- Click here for a post showing all of my vouches (34 in total), of which I went first for purchases more than 32 times with no trouble.

I am 25. I earn a stable income, of which I spend a tiny fraction on Sythe/RuneScape. I have never and will never scam as the cost of buying the GP is negligible for me to start with.

Bottom line: Whether you choose to unban me or not is up to your discretion. Either way, I have a favor to ask which I believe is only fair:

- IF the Sythe Database was not compromised since I made my account, then that means I have a keylogger (which I have been unable to find). All I ask for is that you check whether or not my Sythe account was recovered on the 8th of July, and if it was, whether the IP used was from the States or from Qatar. If it was from the US, it would mean that my PC is compromised.


P.S.: I can request any of the people I traded with through my vouches to confirm that I've traded them with my Skype address, and not the Skype address used by the scammer.

You'll need to run a virus scan and post the results (if anything pops up, clean it out). You'll also need to refund the user that was scammed

Before we do anything you'll have to refund @boethig first (You're responsible for your Sythe account - I see you don't have 2FA enabled?)
Refund the 75M 07 gold, report back here and I'll tell you what's next.
