Fairly new, few questions

I've noticed a large amount of people that seemed like they were trying to scam me. How would I be able to tell if a member is trustworthy enough for me to exchange with? How would I avoid getting scammed? Also what is the average price of 07 GP and EOC GP? Last question is what is the average swap rate?

First off, make sure you always request a private message from the other user's Sythe account to verify they are who they say they are with a copy of the chat. Scammers will make all kinds of excuses not to send these PMs. No PM = don't trade. Even if it looks exactly like the Skype listed on the other persons profile, no pm = don't trade. Heck, one of my impostors will probably contact you after this post. They're still around it's crazy. For the record, I rarely trade nowadays.

One easy way to identify potential people to trade with is to look at a person's vouches and general status on the site. If you see that they're donated (i.e. invested) $300 to Sythe.org, they're unlikely to scam you $100 and get their account banned over it. If they've spent hours making thousands of posts over the last couple years, they're less likely to scam you.

I always advise noobies who can't ask others to go first to be willing to pay a bit more to the established shops. It's better than losing it all from a scam over a few pennies.

I'd also be cautious if someone offers to use a middleman that isn't established. Scammers have friends too, so lean towards again either an established MM (with a PM on this site to verify it's him/her) or an established website using the criteria above.

 

Also please keep in mind that Paypal/Skrill transactions are easily reversible.I would only accept those payment methods only from really trusted people.If you are not feeling strong, ask for Bitcoin.

Probably has been states millions of times but still, if the offer looks too good, it probably is.Also for some reasons scammers are in rush most of the times.They want to get it done as quick as possible.keep calm and chill and dont allow scammer to influence you.

When dealing with MM's always get forums pm, that's my main advice

 

Vouches is a big key that they are trusted.
Look at Nick, donator, high posts, mini-ranks out the butt. Clearly trusted.

Take people like him for example, and always request a private message on sythe.

 

I find it funny how the OP posted a thread like this, but ended up getting banned, most likely for scamming lol

 

Ha. I think they're trying to do reverse sociology. Other trader sees a post like this, thinks they're new and innocent, key the chargeback a week later.
