The Road to 99 Fire Making

This is a guide on how to get to 99 Fire Making to show off or to get a skill cape. It will cater for rich and poor but a good amount of money is recommended. This guide is not really used for fire making and wood cutting but the figures could be used.

[1-15]First few steps.

This is the easiest part of your Fire Making career. Get a bit of money and head to Lumbridge general store in a crowded world.

Buy normal logs from there. You need to burn 61 normal logs to get from level 1 (0 xp) to level 15. This should take about 5 minutes.

[15-30]Same thing, new logs.

Once you have 15 Fire Making you may need more money so go and get some then return to the general store and purchase Oak Logs and start burning them. It takes 183 Oaks to hit level 30. This step should only take about 20 minutes. You should now have 30 Fire Making.

[30-60]You're new best friend-Willows :P

You now have a choice. Will you buy your willows in bulk or buy them in loads from the General Store. Willows from the General Store cost 12 each but if you buy from players they are 30 each. I would recommend buying them from the Store until at least level 60 Fire Making. It takes about 2.9k willows to hit 60 and about 3 and a half hours.

[60-80]A choice.

You now have 60 Fire Making-wasn't that fast? You now have a big choice to make. Carry on with Willows or Start burning Yews. If you are rich I highly recommend Yews as they will take a fraction of the time to get you up. It takes a massive 22k of Willows (265k gp) and 25ish hours to hit 80, a massive week of straight burning Willows. You could start burning Yews as after 4.9k (1.2m gp) of Yews and 5 hours of playing you will have 80 Fire Making! The reason I chose 80 Fire Making is because you have been burning a lot now and you require a break (take a break or else, Mr Nerd) and after this I recommend to only burn Yews.

[80-92]Time for a disappointment.

Now you should be burning Yews unless you wish to spend the rest of your years with slow, slow Willows. With Yews you are looking at burning 22.4k Yews and taking maybe 30 hours. If you choose to continue with Willows you can figure out how many you need with these figures: you need 4,531,185 xp to get from 80-92 and Willows give you 90 xp each and a load takes 150 seconds.

The reason I called it time for a disappointment is because you have done ALL THAT BURNING and now how much xp do you have? 6.5mil, to hit 99 you need 13mil, so guess what? You're only halfway! Muwahahahahahaha.

[92-99]The final straight.

So you just learnt that you are halfway to 99. You're all ready and know everything you need to hit 99. Here are your figures! You need 32k of Yews and it's going to take you 50 hours! If you are on willows use the figures above and you need 6.5mil xp.

Conclusion

Well you have spent 130 hours and a few million gp and you have finally hit 99 Fire Making! Congratulations!

Thanks guys! Maples give alright experience and you could use Maples if you want but if I was to add that to my guide it would mess up my calculations :( . They are also a bit expensive for that little experience gain.

Well I timed myself burning logs and the most time one inven can take is 150 seconds. That 130 was including Willows at one point so really it's 100 hours but it's probably possible in less. If you think my calculations are wrong, please prove it so I can fix it.

got any other guides like a flecthing guide, or wc guide?

very nice guide. May consider using it.
