Extremely pissed off

So i don't know how these dipshit runescape phishing fags got ahold of my email, but every day i get emails from [email protected] saying shit like "You have been infracted", it scares me because i am using a bot and i keep freaking out. Its obvious because it doesnt have my player name in it and the link leads to a site like rvscape.com etc etc

 

Most people are getting them too.
It's really irritating and I don't think people are stupid enough to fall for it.

 

not much you can do besides report it to your email provider, and ignore it.

 

There are lists on pastebin from various sites, i recently found one that had every single email on sythe. Scary shit, im more concerned about my blizzard accounts as i know dam well i show my email for runescape on RSC and sythe + all the old clans i was in, but with blizzard i haven't joined ANY fan sites and i still cop all this phishing attempts its seriously strange.

Aslong as you've posted your email on forums, it's recorded in a long .txt file. Just got to watch for phishers.

 

I don't wana report it to my email provider because it will fuck up important emails.

 

I highly doubt that shit, to get every email on Sythe is impossible unless an Admin leaked the database -- and since we haven't had any corrupt admins for a long time now, it had to have been from awhile ago (pre-2007).

 

The best thing to do is not open it. as this sometimes confirms your email address to the senders.
(at least it does to mass spam senders)

 

i just report as phising scam, most of my emails go to junk folder any ways and less i deem it safe. then only the legit ones go to my inbox, if its goes to junk its a fake.

 

I get these constantly. Atleast 4-5 per day.

Jagex don't own a "Support" or a "Noreply" email @Jagex.com... And they wouldn't send you an email saying you've been infarcted anyways... Hence they have their website inbox message system.

 

well runescape is filled with pixel hungry faggots these days so you just have to get use to it

 

Report it on the runescape forums and hopefully the Jagex mods will take note and do something about it.
