Every post I report has been denied

Spamming:

• Posting comments with little to no relevance to the topic

This thread was created for the sole purpose of adding people to a list. That's it. There is already another thread that this thread branched off from, that allows people to discuss the whole market banned user idea. Plus other threads for different specific discussions / disagreements.

My thread has been a target of a lot of spam, and the moderators are completely ignoring it. Just because Sythe put out a message for people to stop spamming, it doesn't make it his rule. It's a forum rule.

Yet all my reports are being denied.





Discussing market bans is not the topic of the thread. As it is stated and warned many times, it is to update the list by posting names and reasons, and asking for information in OP to be updated. That's it - pretty simple.

Yet I constantly see people discussing other things, arguing, and then moderators just "like" the posts they agree with instead of doing any moderation. This thread is already 17 pages. That should be hundreds of names, yet most of the thread is just unncessary spam. There are other threads to voice your opinion all over the suggestions forums and elsewhere. I ask that people remain on topic, but it's impossible to enforce when moderators are against cleaning up the thread, even after reports. Just because Sythe said he would start enforcing it himself doesn't mean you guys can just be corrupt in the way you handle the reports because of you being triggered.

Even if you argue that it's just Sythe's rule. He's the owner of the site. If you're saying he made up a rule, you should enforce it. There's been plenty of official threads in the past where moderators remove unnecessary posts brought to their attention. I just ask this be handled the same way, or just make me moderator so I can do it myself. Preferably the latter, thanks.

You should just make it clear at the top of your other thread that there is another discussion thread in regards to the same topic and give a hyperlink to it i guess, sorry for not wanting to give my full input, as i said i got a warning and comment removed 2 minutes ago, would like to keep my account 100% safe.

I know, you would think if there's a hyperlink to another discussion and a warning, and it's an official thread, people wouldn't post irrelevant shit, and the moderators would at the very least not encourage it by liking posts instead of removing them.

 

I wouldnt go as far as to call it power abuse but if they are liking pointless posts that shouldn't be in that section is just sheer lazyness or "i found it funny so it can stay" - power abuse. all in all.

I agree 100% with you on this one and am willing to take another infragment/ban just to get this shit sorted, it's an actual disgrace.

 

Agreed, I'd happily accept the infraction if I did indeed spam.

If the owner of the site says he's going to start infracting, I'm not sure where the logic is that the staff of the site HE OWNS, aren't going to?

Not seeing the logic behind the denied reports, although I'm hoping you didn't report the entire 15 pages of discussion because I could see that becoming excessive and getting denied lol.

Anyway yeah, should of been dealt with I would of thought vs being denied.

I reported about 7 posts in the entire thread. Mostly serial spammers that continuously ignore requests to stop. Mostly people just stating their opinions, arguing, without providing any additional information. Stuff like this:

1. No new information provided
2. Just arguing and re-stating the same opinion
3. Agreeing/disagreeing with eachother

I didn't report any post that also provided any hint of information. I didn't report anything where there was a legitimate concern with information in regards to someone being added or removed from the list. I didn't report some basic questions asked that were a little off topic. Just constantly quoting eachother's messages and circlejerking stating opinions only. I shouldn't have to go through 30+ posts to list one person on the thread.

This isn't a thread to discuss shit. State facts, state names, update information - that's it.

I'll try to do this, it's just taking out more time than necessary if I have to private message everyone while moderators like spam posts and reject reports.

 

never knew saying "Support" gives infractions/ban warnings, feels like north Korea..Support something and have your freedom of speech/comment revoked . @Sythe this is becoming a big problem, really is.

 

To be honest I didn't even see the "PLEASE DON'T POST ANYTHING ELSE. INFRACTIONS WILL BE GIVEN. USE THIS THREAD FOR DISCUSSIONS" (even though I didn't post in the thread). It is a really awkward color combination and my eyes automatically shifted to all the green/much more appealing to the eyes UNBANNED lol. But maybe thats just me.

 

Same, but i got one..it's ok though its always the same Mod with the same excuse giving me them. gave up caring at this point.

 

Good theory, I'll test it out. Still has nothing to do with the reports getting ignored though.

 

Meh i'd just accept it and move on. At the end of the day it is us that didn't read (if I had posted). If someone sells an account with a bunch of ridiculous terms in their thread you can't invalidate those terms just because you didn't notice them..

Yet my thread is all-you-can-spam buffet. At least he stayed on topic here - by the way you linked something in suggestions forum, this is the feedback forum. It's still ironic that he gets infracted for spam (even if it's spam) on this thread, just shows you guys are selective about who/where you infract.

 

A one word post is considered spam, it doesn't really matter where the "I support" thread is from. Also personally, it's been a couple years since I've infracted anyone for anything but bumping. I think that they are unnecessary.

As for your thread, I'm sorry these posts weren't removed, because they probably should have been. If it happens again feel free to pm me and I'll get rid of them.

Same exact thing happened to me with 2 out of the 3 reports I've made. The one that didn't get denied "Dunworry" accused me of breaking the same rule I was reporting which wasn't even close to being true.

 

Haha just got the same thing in different topics, guess the moderators just want to reject reports sometimes too haha.
