Hello,


Could someone please explain how the combat system works to me, like what is a high hit?

what determines how much i hit, what should i look for when buying a weapon in terms of "DMG" and other things?

its been awhile since ive played and i want to get back into it.

any helpful answers are appreciated.

 

Every monster now has a weakness, so what weapon you choose should vary. If you cannot afford drygores, it seems as though 2h weapons are the best. SGS is really useful. And instead of the old "strength bonus" that items would give, like bandos, or d boots, its now "damage." So if one item has higher damage, than you would deal higher damage. But don't forget to factor in speed.

 

ok 1st of the combat system is based on any of the following stats + def + 2 levels

att,str,mage.range,summ

(prayer,hp dont count to this)

how hard you hit is still your att/str levels but also the dmg on the weapon and what abilities you use

high dmg is like 1400+

 

In terms of what weapons you should be using:
Dual Drygores (150m+ :/), Chaotic Maul (most damage output per second), Saradomin Godsword (eliminates the need for food and prayer potions).
^ are the best high tier weapons if you can afford/have the requirements.
