Couldn't think of what to make, so essentially stole your design of an "R", sorry about that.. Was just a tester anyway.

I'm not that great :S

-Next time I'll use more shading, my 2nd and 3rd colors look almost identical to my main color.

 

Hey I sort of tried to copy one of those main ones, this was my first attempt and outcome.

 

Try saving and .png, saves the quality. And try to do a bit more shading, once I get back home from this short skiing expedition (2 more days) I'll show you my attempt at 'Analog''s name.

This has to be, by all honesty, my favourite gfx guide. I always loved these, I am currently working on one right now, been practicing, ill post if it comes out well afterwards!

I like doing this, at first it looked so friken tough, but after editing some pre-made models. Then i started using zoom

It actually is easier than it looks.

EDIT: Here's what i did (don't look at the background, it's horrible)

 

Pixelling is not hard, but extremely time consuming depending on the detail you want. In my opinion, the best way to start is to draw on paper what you will be pixelling and then scan it into the computer. Go over the pencil/pen lines with black and then add shades of color one at a time. Also, make sure the shading fits the direction of the light source.

 

So hard lol. I must have down syndrome. I can't make it look proper.

 

applied, please dont make fun of down syndrome, some of them are paticularly smart

hey ripped do you have a gallery to show off your works?
also, as an "artist" irl, I find it difficult to use the mouse as a sufficient drawing tool...any suggestions on how I can fix this problem

 

Wow, very nice. I am impressed, look into getting Photoshop, it is worth it. How do you make such large prints? Anyhow, I am impressed, keep up the work, I never could get pixel art down, you seem to have it though!
