Email lure

[ChristmasCracker]

That's a new one that I haven't seen lol.
It looked pretty legit, and of course I didn't click it but still. Kinda smart
And that email address Erickgu(whatever) isn't even mine.

Thats an interesting one.

Majority of mine are all Jagex impersonations or lottery winnings haha.

That is very clever, and I bet someone will click it. There's a nice guide here about this - http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1358559.

Yea, I didn't want to click it so I can't tell you where it leads to.

You can hover over it and it'll tell you I think

I thought this email scam was pretty smart as well, nearly fell for it after selling gold to someone through paypal. Only reason I didn't was because it didn't have the "verified" checkmark beside the email in my inbox.

And I bet the "get more details page" leads to some malicious site, potentially tricking people into thinking they got their payment AND giving them a virus. Watch out for this.

Last I knew, when you receive a payment from someone it shows their email address as the sender of the email.
If I sent you 100$, it would show an email like that but it'll be from "From: [email protected]" not paypal.
