Secret worlds would be a good idea, though I gotta say mate I got banned for using world 156, "Bug Abuse" apparently.

Yer, its not a bad idea.
But i wouldn't be surprised if its some sort of trap for jagex to catch the people who are directly linking to runescape worlds.
i guess i could make a message box saying something like "you are connecting to a world that is not visibly available, are you sure you want to do this?". etc.

although i logged in, to check it out on my mule account (was probably only logged in for 30 seconds) and he still isn't banned.

You can't... sort of...
But if you cannot to a world that isn't listed on the runescape server list then its obvious you are directly linking to worlds, therefore you could probably get banned.
But if you go to a world that IS on the server page then they can't tell a legitimate user from an EliteSwitch user.

nice program covey, i am an eliteswitch user too and i downloaded eliteswitch portable last night. im very pleased with it. keep up the good work.

 

i don't get what your saying...are you saying that if i switch worlds on esp i wont get banned? or if i switched worlds on es i wont get banned? somthing about a server list? what?

 

No he means if you log in on a world that's not stated on the world list you can get banned, most likely it will not happen so you got nearly nothing to worry about.

Ill try to explain what i was saying about "secret worlds" earlier:
First you need to understand the following:
Secret world - A secret world is a runescape world that does NOT appear on the runescape server list page. But can be accessed by getting the url (anyone with common sense can get the url) and directly load the world bypassing the process of going to runescape.com and clicking on the links to navigate to the world.

Now IF i included secret worlds in EliteSwitch & EliteSwitch Portable there is a chance that you could be banned when you visit a "secret world". Because it's obvious that you are directly linking to the world because there is no other way of accessing it.

But since secret worlds are NOT currently in EliteSwitch or EliteSwitch Portable, you will not get banned for simply using it as a world swticher.

I hope that made some more sense.

Downloading EliteSwitch now; have heard alot of good things! What's the difference between ES and ESP. (EliteSwitch;EliteSwitchPortable).

Lmao, I downloaded EliteSwitch, messed around with settings. Got the feel of it, then saw the mp3. Wow I love Elite now; SwiftSwitch is now off my computer perm!

ESP, is for people with pretty shit computer, it requires less system files to be installed and therefore is smaller in filesize and RAM usage etc.

 

Not nice . I think it's better then the current version of EliteSwitch but on next update of EliteSwitch I'll probably go back to it.

 

Yer i know ESP is currently better then ES.
I honestly think it will stay that way because ES will always be overcrowded with utilities.
