Electronic Cigarette

I bought a electronic cigarette a while ago, and it is working miracles for me.
I've started with a lot of nicotine and the amount of it gradually decreased, and now I'm smoking my ecig without any nic in it. Now, it seems that I'm addicted to the sweet flavor, rather than the contents of an actually cigarette :0

Who has one, and what do you think of it?

OT: A few mates have ones that you can change the flavour in, and they are absolutely amazing, thinking of maybe buying one.

So it actually helped you quit? I've wondered if these were just a load of bullshit of if it was legitimate in the effects they're supposed to have on a person's addiction.

 

My dad gave me one once since he got an extra. I used it a good bit until it broke. Some of them suck and taste like shit, but there are some really good ones too that you can order online. I had a V2 Cig, which is one of the best out there. It has a button on it which allows it to have more smoke and has a lot of flavors you can switch out like menthol, red, light, etc. They taste good and some even taste like a real cig. Electronic cigs are definitely the best thing out there to help quit smoking. It has nicotine, which is mainly why it's so effective. Gum and patches have never done much for me. It's also great you can smoke them inside, which is the only time I really used it and the main reason why it helped me cut down so much since I didn't keep having to go outside all the time. It definitely does give you some of the satisfaction of a cigarette, but if you're a hard smoker, then it's still hard to beat the real thing.

 

They can if you smoke solely those electronic ciggarettes. Smoking them in conjuction with normal smokes won't do shit.

 

Not really. No hard smoker just all of a sudden switches over to an electronic cig without ever touching a real one again. They aren't meant to do that. They do help wean you off cigs more than anything else out there though. They're very convenient and I even found myself smoking it more than I do cigarettes. I was constantly hitting it while I was just sitting around inside my house or sometimes at work when no one was around. They have no smell, so they're very easy to conceal. Not that it really matters, since they're legal to smoke anywhere anyways. They really do help take your mind off smoking and I probably cut down about half the amount of cigarettes that I normally go through while I was using it.

I don't have one but a friend did i tried it and it tasted like chocolate, hes my bestfriend.

 

Isn't your friend a bit too young to be using one?
and yeah; there are all sorts of different flavors.

 

I tried hopping on that when I heard about it,
I still have one, but after awhile it just doesn't cut it, I eventually end up smoking a Camel menthol too get the 'real' taste of the cigarette that I crave for, but it's all around good to have when you don't have real ciggs.

 

These cigarettes do not produce smoke, am i right? If it doesn't it's truly a great invention and definitely better than the current cigarettes. I hate breathing in 2nd-hand smoke!

 

i never needed one of these..I quit smoking on january 5th, 2012...i just decided that i wasn't going to smoke anymore (after thinking about it/saying i was going to quit for a while)...

I stopped smoking and gave the rest of my pack of smokes to my gf (who still smoked -_-)

No shit. Nicotine isn't good for you regardless of what medium you consume it through. However the E-Cigarettes are a much less unhealthy way to do it compared to real cigarettes. I don't have one but a few of my band members do, personally I'd only really use it when I'm out of smokes, I don't feel the need to quit as I'm not a heavy cigarette smoker. Give me weed (even without it really) and I'll never feel the need to smoke a cigarette, unless I'm on break at work or on a long walk or something. Don't get me started on mixing tobacco with weed though, I'm actually addicted to that lol, but an E-Cig isn't gonna replace that.
