efx is a scammer!!

How I got in a trade with efx below:

On Thursday, June 28th - I made a thread on the Neopets Market Forum here Seeking: UC Faerie Ruki wanting to buy V/WN UC Faerie Ruki. First letter must be capped, any gender and the pet name must come after G, but before T.

efx PM'd me, offered me his VVWN UC Faerie Ruki with first letter being capped with a promise of 7 letter pet name or less for $50.00 USD. I was expecting maybe a 5 letter or 6 letter named virtual pet. efx told me to make my payment of $50.00 through Paypal ([email protected]) which I paid him on Friday, June 29th. Later that night, efx sent me his Neo acct info.

Using my own gaming acct, I looked up the username efx linked me to. Instead of seeing a VVWN, capped, 7 letters or less virtual pet .. I discovered an 8 lettered (Xxxxxxxx) virtual pet instead. I did NOT pay him $50.00 to get a worthless DN 8 lettered named virtual pet. I paid $50.00 expecting to get a VVWN virtual pet name.

On Saturday, June 30th - I PM'd efx feeling disappointed!!! And, cheated out of my money.

In 2 hours, it'll be Monday here and I still haven't heard back from efx the SCAMMER. Please don't buy anything from him. At this point, .. I feel like I won't be able to recover my $50.00!!!

I am hoping someone here could help me with my case so that efx doesn't scam the next person.

Sure.. user asked for a VWN Ruki. User got a VWN Ruki. Names are subjective, unfortunate the buyer personally doesn't like it.

I don't refund for mind changes. If that warrants a DNT/ban, I'm fine with that.

 

Can you post proof you gave the user the exact name/pet you told him you were selling to him?

 

No skin off my nose to post them here, but the account name and pet name will be in the screenshots - which may end up in the account getting frozen if reported to Neopets staff by someone reading the thread. I won't be refunding, so that's up to the buyer whether they want to risk losing the account as well..

When efx offered me his virtual pet, he didn't tell me the pet name anywhere.

All he said was VVWN, capped, with a promise of 7 letters or less virtual pet. I have a screenie of the account efx gave me without me deleting the gaming acct UN/password/bday/pin I could send via PM.

IF efx told me early on .. he was going to sell me an 8 lettered virtual pet name I would have passed. I only purchased from efx because he offered me his VVWN, capped, 7 letters or less.

I am still hoping for my $50 USD refunded. efx should have been more honest when he first PM'd.

 

I won't be refunding whether they resolve in your favor or not, so you can keep the account or I can post the details of it here and it will end up frozen. I really don't mind either way.

 

I told you (efx) when I sent you those PM's on Saturday I no longer want your virtual pet. You clearly misadvertised. IF you knew you were going to sell me an 8 lettered virtual pet, why didn't you tell me early on? Why did you mislead me to thinking I was going to end up with a VVWN, capped, 7 letters or less virtual pet?

I paid $50 USD, but you didn't fulfill what you offered to me therefore I am requesting my $50 USD refunded.

Like I said though - I won't be refunding so there's no point requesting.

 

Since you paid with Paypal, can't you file for a dispute even thought it was sent as family/friends? That's why I always send it as goods because it helps you as a buyer in the end with protection just in case this kind of stuff happens in which the seller misleads you into buying something that's actually not what you asked or want. He would not only lose his account here, but you'll get a refund if you win. I also bought from this guy and he promised 2 lab access in our pm. I only got one, but being the better man, I simply let it go because the bundle account was a steal. I'm not being biased or anything or against anyone. I just call it as I see it and the buyer did request a VWN and the seller said in his replies that it was indeed that. Unfortunately, it wasn't and here we are now.

 

User has been banned for scamming. He can explain himself in a dispute.

Note: If you did pay with Paypal I recommend disputing the payment, you can look up guides on how to do so / call Paypal.
