I started that, a Jagex Mod saw me messing with a player mod about DDoSing, and asked me what it was, I answered: "Dragon Dagger Ownage Special". To which my friend replied: "yes, Jethr0x ddos'es you so hard your internet goes bye." ... I was then pwned with a 1 hour mute.

Do most people code their "infectors" I'll call them in C++, or are there pre-made ones (which would obviously be inferior)?

I always thought you were smart . I once "Tested" somebody's program and got a bot i think. Ever time I started my computer, a file called svchost.exe would pop up in a black screen and close really quickly. The next day, my account got hacked in runescape. I found the file, it was hidden though, and deleted it. I didn't have problems since. The other time, somehow somebody was sending emails to everybody saying "click this". Then I started seeing random files everywhere. I just said screw it and restarted my computer.

 

Maybe u can explain to people about host booters too? They are used ALOT for booting off xbox live rofl

svchost.exe is a windows program.
Although it sounds like it can used for malicious purposes if you have to go through it to use DLLs :/

 

I play socom2 alot (old game for ps2) and there alot of wanna be hackers on there that will dos you when you piss them off, if this happens would it be possible to call my internet provider during the attack and trace them?

Yes, most of it is detected, except people use Cryptors, which scramble the code, so it no longer looks like a virus, to make the infecter FUD (Fully undetectable)

U can make the .exe use any name, mine is "Servises.exe"

But unless you have 2 of svchost.exe it's not a botnet is what I'm trying to say.

Well, I am not sure how many people use servises, but only 6k of those are mine.

Helped me understand a lot, and understand what happened when I was a victim.

For example on Cod4 (360) this guy was running round Ambush with a shotgun. Anytime he saw a target, I guess he would just (D)DoS and that person would lag, allowing him to kill them with ease. Killcam showed it all...gotta be careful
