Ebook Sales Section

I think there should be a mandatory verification process for the guides sold here. I can honestly says 80% + of these guide are not worth it.

They are either not guides at all or they're selling a method/guide that is available on forums or even through a simple Google search.

People are being ripped off without knowing it. One of the verified ones is a rip and still is allowed.

It doesn't matter what people on this forum know, it matters if its available on the net without cost. A guide is not a guide if they just leech em of other forums and sell it here to make a profit off people's ignorance.

Please revise how guides are allowed to be sold....

There is an OGV (Official Guide Verifier) team in place already. If there is no official statement by a member of OGV than the guide is probably not verified. It is up to you to check if the guide is verified or not.

Wulfspade1 · Apr 28, 2012

I'm pretty sure the guides OGVs verify aren't plagiarized, they should have had background checks on them.

The OGV team has verified guides that they shouldn't have. Huge problem.

What I'm saying is require verifications to even sell the bloody methods instead of allowing them to sell it just not "verified". It's literally allows scams.

The OGV team itself needs to be revised....

Problem is they let guides through that are free. The OGV team appears to have little knowledge in making money online and for their ignorance guides are being sold for profit when users can get it free.

They let users sell guides making a profit of the ignorance of this forums users.

Yes, guides should be things we don't know but also that it not avalaible online for no cost at all. Linking us to the method for money (that's what it is) is not right. We're paying to see something not easily available that's why we paid...not for a directory.

You are trading at your own risk, just as you would be with any other kind of sale on this website. If you're buying an ebook or a guide that is not verified then you should already know that there could be risk involved. If you feel that there is a flaw with the OGV team then I suggest you write up a structured idea on how to fix it, because right now it just sounds like your ranting because you bought a crappy guide.

I don't think so, the OGVs do background checks on the guides. They are all qualified for the job, and I'm pretty sure they know what they are doing. Why don't you link me to guides that are available online that are verified, I'd like to see what has made you come to this conclusion. If you're talking about guides that aren't verified, then that shouldn't be a problem, really. You should know the risk of buying guides that haven't been verified, but ones that have should have had extensive background checks. Remember, OGVs can make mistakes, if you bought a guide that is available online, please inform the OGVs. Also, can you suggest ways to improve if that's the case, if not, then this will get nowhere.

My friend you, I've been complaining about the verification process since the section basically came out. Not because I bought a crappy guide but because there's a huge percentage of crap there being allowed.

There's too many users making profit with free methods. The thing is it shouldn't be like any other trade. Guides are not the same as any other items. The simply answer is requiring verification for ALL guide being sold. This is not an area we can just turn our back to and let it be.

It's simply have a OGV with a background in making money online that don't simply glance at a guide and say it's good. They should look for it online see how widely it's available then verify actual freaking guide by trying to see if it does what it claim. If the guide's actually did what it claims then it's verified. Then require all guide sales to be verified.

No you do not need a lot of time. The OGV is actually benefiting from this to, so their time isn't wasted and it a huge contribution to Sythe.

Higher requirement's should be made.

That's the one I purchased and do not think at all it should have been verified. It does what it says to a certain extent but the article flipping guide is widely available online. The original seller simply mashed up certain areas and an addon, so it verified? I got a directory of everything needed in one place. That's great but how's that a guide?

Anyone can go find a method. Google similar sites that are needed. Make a whole written explanation on why it works. Instruct you how to register. Point you to their market for the specific item/service. then go and sell it for $50 bucks here.

It should only be allowed to sell if its something not easy to obtain otherwise you are paying to be directed to something free.

I did inform them. I was then warned to basically shut up about it. The ebook sales section is to loose. It's not like any other markets...

Alright, so one guide? I'm not saying this is an issue that should be sidelooked, but it looks like you're kinda basing this off the one guide you have bought. Besides you, it looks like a lot of people were satisfied with the guide. That information can be old to you, but it could be new to others. I doubt the Lillie Services plagiarized, maybe explaining in his way is more useful to other people. You have to take into consideration that people don't know the same information as you, and that the guide could be extremely useful to them. I doubt guides that are EXTREMELY common knowledge will be verified, but guides that contain information some people might not know could be. That's concerning, if an OGV has said that to you, PM an HOGV about their actions. Even if it's "too loose," what exactly do you want us to do about it? You'll have to give us some sort of suggestion.

I've been trying to get the team to re-review certain guides which were verified before I was initiated. We're making progress and have taken down certain ones.

I would support a mandatory verification though. I'd say ~95% of guides we read should not be sold at all.

cosrob97 · Apr 28, 2012

I want to point out the suggestion for making all guides verified is not going to happen. Trust me on this it wouldn't help and the section into a bigger pitfall. So please don't suggest it.

I wasn't an ogv when it was verified, but I'll explain the best I can.

Widely known: A simply search of "article flipping" in google doesn't bring much up. The two main things it brings up is another site selling rstraders guide, and a poor guide lacking detail. None of those two links brings up anything which rstrader's guide has in it.

Please note, the ogv has been improving. The main problem is inactivity and the way people vote. Numerous stickies and guidelines have been added in the private section about activity and the inactive members have been booted out. Also I've added a good way measuring activity and seeing who's pulling their weight.

Also, I'm currently making some guidelines on how to conduct a vote which will ultimately speed up things and make sure guides are voted on properly.

If you have any suggestion to improve the system please pm me or make a suggestion thread.

Seems like mandatory verification would reduce amount of crap guides being sold as those who knowingly would try selling known or free methods wouldn't try fo verification. Can you tell me why it wouldn't work?

Thanks for replying by the way, seriously. I will come up with suggestions to possible events...I hope you take what I suggest seriously and don't just think about it once.

Length/details shouldn't be a consideration in the verifying process, anyone can make a detailed guide about anything. The problem is if its just a gathering of information from the net, it shouldn't be for sale. It's selling a directory. You get what I mean?

As for "widely available",
Heres the google search for using variants of reselling articles, flipping articles etc being

Took me two min for this.:

Results:
http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...i-make-green-25-200-day-article-flipping.html
http://www.moneymakergroup.com/Money-Article-Flipping-t257916.html

and several others on other pages.

Rstrader simply put that. Gave you the marketplace/forums to sell on. Then added fluff information and managed to attract people reaping profits.

Broaden your searches. Check public money making forums. There's more than one Google search to verify its availability.

The Black Tux · Apr 28, 2012

I'm just going to post to the statistics... less than 5%(I think much less) of the guides submitted get verified.

Emperor Nero · Apr 28, 2012

I agree completely. I have reported a lot of guides that are blatantly sketchy, like the description pretty much says everything but 'this guide is illegal' and nothing was done about it. I thought the principles of the forum was to not allow illegal things, but it seems to be compromised for a more 'free market'. Take for example a guide that taught you how to get free minecraft accounts, and required a special program to play the game with.
