Would Ancient Curses Like Turmoil / SoulSplit Unbalance Oldschool Runescape?

I know osrs is going to be shortly bringing out a range and mage version of piety to oldschool, but would something like turmoil and soulsplit be fit for oldschool as well? A lot of people say its unbalanced and would never pass polls which is true pvming / grinding wise with soulsplit, but what if they made pvp only version of this, do you think it would pass polls?

 

I personally liked having soul split and turmoil. I really liked 30 def turmoil pures and I had one myself with 60 attack and it was a blast.

It would not pass a poll imo, also they said they would never add turmoil or Soulsplit in a q&a stream a little while back but we'll see.

 

We dont want 2015scape ty. Even though it would extremely benefit my prosylete pure, i wouldnt like to see it

 

I wouldn't mind soulsplit, but I wouldn't want turmoil or protection curses in the wilderness.

 

People liked 2011scape. Free trade, good content. It was right before eoc. All of the content was ok until then so yes I think the poll would go well.

 

I think it would be awesome it fits the best era of rs

 

Give oldschool runescape long enough and the community will eventually want this.

Look at godwars. At first it was opposed (along with other new bosses), now everyone is down for new content.

lmao would completely destroy the economy, Soulsplit would make every boss vastly easier and give the ability to camp for huge time periods.

 

That won't affect the drop rate. And the gold sink in getting 95 prayer will outweigh the removal of bank trips for the players who get it.

 

While it wont effect the drop rate longer trips/less banking = more drops/hr alchables etc so i feel it would effect the economy

 

Can you factor in the cost of 95 prayer into that equation?

 

I see your point but I feel the cost of 95 prayer (which can be done for like 30m with ensouled heads currently) vs not needing food and less supplies + bringing more drops into the game is not too balanced. Imagine never needing to bank at zulrah just teleing to altar and back to snake after each kill because you can just camp with SS or being able to stay at bandos for 8 hours. Don't see how the cost would outweigh the benefits. In conjunction with summoning/pack yaks it would be catastrophic but by itself I feel it would still be bad.

SS will destroy the game's economy, but personally I want them haha.
