Thanks, we know, was merely trying to give Sythe an interesting controversial topic.

You've all completely ignored the lack of dust on the moon.

Not saying the earth is 10 000 years old, but what do you say to that?

I say that it's so ridiculous that your own creationist friends call it an "argument not to use."

    nice.^

Don't call me a creationist, found an interesting topic and was interested enough to try and argue a point.

Yep, my fault. I meant "billions".
Anyway, c14 isn't the only method used for dating finds.

    Earth, How old?

Not all creationists believe that the earth is only 10,000 years old. The first verse of the bible says that in the beginning god created the heavens and the earth. The second verse says that the earth was dark and lifeless and the third says that he created light on the earth. There is no way of knowing how much time is in between the "beginning" and the seven days of creation on earth. Personally, I believe the earth is around 4.7 billion years old.

So, you're saying that the earth is 4.6 billion years old, yet life on earth has existed for under 10,000 years? That's equally ridiculous.

    Earth, How old?

It's ridiculous to you because you believe in evolution, not to me because I believe in creation. Let's not get off topic here as we're talking about how old the earth is, not how long life has been on the earth.

Don't put these two on the same level--they're not. Creation is an argument from ignorance, and Evolution has proof.

Again, as I'm a Creationist, I don't think Pangea was that long ago.

My belief is that 4500 years ago, when there was the flood (Look up Genesis In the Bible) That Pangea was flooded so the land became the way it is today.

    Earth, How old?

I'd say noone on earth knows how old is earth. You may ask why is that?

Its because we are living in present not in past, i mean how could a person from 10000 year ago know about our future, this is not real. I mean noone knows the real age of eath. :)

Earth could be billions of years old, this is unanswerable. All we know are approximations for when changes occurred.

It's unanswerable if you keep refusing science and the answers it provides ^^

Scientifically prove how old the earth is, do it now.
All you can do is theorize.

Ah! That's the one where god decided he fucked up so he decided to unleash a massive flood on the world. Good thing Noah built a big ass boat and kept a thousands of animals in it.

What does that have to do with the age of the Earth?

Also a great thing that those kangaroos could swim all the way for south-east Asia to Australia.

    Earth, How old?

It is impossible for the world to be 10,000 years old or anything remotely nearby.

The light from distant stars takes hundreds of thousands of years to reach us, if the universe was 10,000 years ago, we would not see any stars.

    Don't post this crap.

Nobody believes in evolution any more than we believe in electricity or gravity.

It is an undebatable fact, there is absolutely no valid argument against it.
