Before you post a new thread or simply just reply to an existing thread, please follow this checklist:

• Did I use correct grammar?
• Is the first letter of every sentence capitalized?
• Have I capitalized names, countries e.t.c.?
• Does words like I'm, ain't and can't contain an apostrophe?
• Is the word "I" capitalized?
• Have I shortened words like you to u?
• Did I accidentally leave caps lock on the whole time I was typing?
  Though I still can't understand how people can accidentally leave it on and actually post it without noticing that mistake...

Yes I know me "the Swedish noob" ain't the person to talk about English grammar and shit but at least I'm trying my best. Which is more than you can say about some people...

Actually, Cheeter, you'll find that your English is genuinely better than the majority of members on this site, whether they're American or English.

If you're trying to say that the only way that someone could understand how to follow basic, elementary school spelling and grammar rules is if they are attending, or have attended college, then you are sadly misinformed.

I agree, Cheeter is not a noob, but I think you may have rethought usage of the word "your" in that sentence if Cheeter had mentioned your/you're confusion in the first post.

Finally. I have waited for someone with respect to say this. I can simply never get it across to the commuity. Thank you for finally saying it. Now we just need a moderator to come and sticky this thread. Also, your grammar and spelling is better than most peoples on this site. Bravo!

PS: I just realised you are a moderator. Sorry i have not been on the site for 6 months+. Sticky this (if you can) for this is the most important thread in the history of Sythe!

 

I always do this without thinking, but, thanks for telling other people about it because it's sometimes too hard to read their typing, .

Thats because the statistics are based off of immigrants who immigrated to America. Great, they don't speak English, so I'm an idiot.

 

R0fl. I actually do this on a regular basis. When "I" is not capitalized, ocd makes me go in and change it. =/

 

You should also suggest that members gets either Safari or Firefox as well, since it's got spellcheck.

I don't even need spellcheck on FireFox, it doesn't really help me that much. I turned it off because it kept going "ZEMGFGGGGGGGGGGGG SUMTHZANG R MISEPELLLD!!11111one!!1!1!1!" when that was a word it didn't even recognize. Whatever, I've been fine without it.
