LOL new lure is fail

There must be a new lure or something because i have been playing on my "rich" noob account and i have been the target of two attempted lures tonight while i play. they both had alternate methods of getting me to go to gamers grotto (i played along obviously) but they both used the same excuse to get me into my best gear "Im videoing this giveaway and want you to wear your best gear so it looks good" lol like if people fall for this they are retarded.

im almost positive that the people doing it are from sythe or another RS community.

This is an old lure. Everyone has different wordings on how to get you in your best gear. Nothing new here.

A lot of lurers say that it's for a RS Music video, or just some kind of video. They've been doing that for a while now.

 

Reading this and realizing how retarded you must be to fall for a lure, I have to admit I was lured once. I was wearing full dragon armour back when it was worth something and some guy said there was 100M in the wild, there was money on the floor, I ran in and took it (100k) and I got rushed and poisoned, died a minute walk away from wild ditch because of poison :/

It's another crappy old lure that I still don't understand how people fall for. There's even a guide created by a famous luring youtuber on how to do this lure.

We tried it on ~6 people, 3 fell for it. It seems like it wouldn't work, but it does.

The victim always knows it's a lure, because I tell them that my partner is going to lure them, and that either;

a) they should telegrab the items that he drops so that they stay safe (telegrabbing makes you run in).
b) they should help me anti-lure him, and kill him when they get in there.

1) is was one of the best when free trade first came out
2) it has now been leaked by Cls Product on his channel, explaining how to do it.

You completely misunderstood what he was saying. He wasn't calling anybody retarded.

As for the lure - thanks for the heads up. This is nothing too new though, literally ANYTHING that sounds too good to be true on RS, or anytime people approach you and are acting overly friendly, it is most likely a lure. When I had a Santa a few months ago I would wear it while skilling at the GE, and it was funny how immediately after turning my chat to public I would start getting advances from people asking if I wanted to play a trust game, be in a video they were filming, etc.

 

Anti luring is a pretty convincing method to most the players of rs. I've tried luring before and it is so difficult to convince the players with 100M+ to go into clan wars. This is when i had 3.4b too so i seemed legit.
