Investing... Help and Tips

Okay so I have a decent cashpile at the moment and have decided that it may be worth my while to invest as I am currently fairly inactive with school and what not going on at the moment. What would you guys suggest putting money into, I was thinking maybe buying 4 or 5 santa hats as I overheard someone talking about them and predicted they may rise to around 120m within the next 2 months.
Current price of santa is 109,865,000
If it ends up at 120,000,000
If I invest in 5 santa hats and they do rise its a potential 50m for basically nothing. Worth the risk or not?

 

Rares are a very volatile market. You should check the 180 days chart first and then if you see it is bottoming out pick them up.

 

Yeh they are extremely unstable, on a long term (a year) it's for sure a win but on the shorter term ..... its unpredictable tbh.

 

I've noticed Santa hats fluctuate alot during the year, so if you timed it right, they're might be some profit. However, I wouldn't sink all of your RSGP into it.

I would study price charts a bit before investing into 5 santa's.

 

Well santa's have recently bottomed and I decided to try.
Got 4 for 109,865,000. Will update on how it goes over 30 days.

 

Long Term= Boss, Short Term= People getting scared, panic sell. prices go down the merchers get em and they go up again and thats how the prices go with all rares except phats and crackers

 

You should get someone to update you. They could go up by 5-10M at anytime, it would be best to sell by then before they go down again. For all you know, it's rising till the 25th day, few days later when you're back, it's crashing.

Upload a picture of the GE history for all 4 being purchased and then all 4 being sold. For the sake of how the thread looks .

I personally think rares are always worth investing in if you are going to take a long break from Runescape. They are more than likely going to raise as time goes by as opposed to items that are being dropped by Nex or other boss'.

 

Herbs and secondary items. Most of them have already started rising and I expect wines to start rising. They're currently at the lowest they've been in a very long time.
