Duel Areana Dying?

I hang around the duel arena looking for dds fights (69 and under) and it seems like there is less and less people everyday.

There used to be 10+ people who would fit my criteria for staking and now I'm lucky to find 1 or 2.

 

Maybe they got sick of being cleaned/went to pking instead/got banned for botting/rwt/etc.

 

Well, no one has been banned for botting/rwt since FT that i've heard of so its not that.

 

they probably switched out of dds fights because half the time people whip out SOL's ... thats why i switched to rapier/boxing

 

Nobody ever does legit DDSing anymore. Ever since the SOL technique was leaked out everywhere, DDS staking has been dying down rapidly. If you can, do whip/box/rapier stakes. They're the best legit ways to stake

 

Personally I sol, but I've only run across 1 other person my level (69) with a sol.

 

Maybe there's less and less because you claim you're DDsing and than proceed to scam them by not actually DDsing, but using a SOL? Just my thoughts...

Well, technically even though I say "ddsing" ddsing is a rule set, not really a specific weapon <-- obviously arguable... They should know that sol's are usable at that level/rules.

 

I've seen a good amount of people just saying something along the lines of being cleaned and just wanting to leave. Staking's a bad habbit and gets a good portion of people to be poor.

 

^this. Obviously there were tons of people staking the first couple weeks cus it was new and exciting. Unfortunately, though, the the longer you stake, the higher your chance of getting cleaned, which explains the diminishing amount of people.
