Gold diggers? :/

Are there really so many of them? I met 2 girls, both of them were so innocent and nice at first, both low leveled and normal but soon as they leveled up . I saw their other face, greed / gold digging.
#1 Was talking to every male char she saw, had an ingame BF and always talking to multiple guy "friends" at once, This is what she does on w301 every day.

#2 was just lvl 2x and wearing addy, and seemed so normal and just a normal player... then gets membership and brags how she got 1.1m from some guy as a "starter" and then later she tells me how someone just gave her a bond (worth 3-4m and that she's selling) that guy also thought she was a new player, she created a new level 3 and fools guys into giving her money. *sigh* is this how some girls play this game?

Both were girls irl tbh.
is it really this common? I also never knew there were actual girls doing this, in the past it was always guys pretending to be girls but here these are real.
i just find it sad they can't play the game for real..

i wonder why the befriended me knowing they'd get nothing.. maybe it's cause I'm female? idk.
