You did not mention it, but it is what it is. The thought of the universe (you stated how it was made) drives up the thought of a greater being. Therefore actually yes, this thread has EVERYTHING to do with religion.

Fact of the matter is in my mind i don't even begin to base the fact of the universes creation on a "greater being" because of the knowledge humans have of the universe is close to nothing therefore it doesn't seem 1 bit logical.

By the way, I have an a retort about some guy who mentioned the big bang. Theoretically, nothing could have existed before the big bang, including time. If time did not exist, how could have the big bang occured, if nothing had existed, as nothing can exist without time?

The theoretical way in which the big bang occured was with 2 gases reacting with each other, but if the universe does not exist, therefore meaning nothing exists, how can this occur?

Umm. The World doesn't go on forever. We live on the world. The world would only refer to the Earth. Which I don't believe we use the word world as a term anymore seeing as it isn't proper. So try to use the word universe next time. The World is what your house is built on..

 

I mean the universe. And how can it be expanding if it goes on forever. If you say it doesnt go on forever and ends, then whats beyond it?

Uni-verse. One. Due to language, there is only _ONE_, Universe. Now, heres something for you to ponder. A few months ago, mathematicians have apparently "found" the equation, giving us the size, and shape of the Universe's perimeter. Now, if there is one Universe, and the Universe is everything (Which by definition, it is) How can there be a container _OF_ the universe?

Ponder that.

P.S. On NASA's records, the largest amount of nothing (Absolutely no molecules of any type exist here) has a diameter of 15,000 Light years, and is spherical in shape.

 

well i didn't really understand the questions, but I think I have already thought of those.

I'm going to reword it/add to it.

I think they went along the lines of "Since the Universe is Everything, and Everyone that currently exists and it goes on forever, does it end and if it does how does nothing end, since Space (Being the term to refer to the area outside Earth's atmosphere) is composed of nothing, and is simply a vacuum? So when and if the Universe ends, how could nothing end? If the Universe does go on forever, then plainly how is this possible?"

I have four opinions on the matter.

1.) God. He also created a limitation to our minds so we could not even comprehend the very idea of infinite vastness. This also, unfortunately, brings up the concept of God, and if he is real, then how did He come to exist? If another "God" created him which is in some scriptures, then where did that Deity come from? And so on and so on. God also could have limited out minds so we could not comprehend that concept either.

2.) The Universe, is actually composed of everything that ever existed, exists, and will ever exist. This is how it is possible for the Universe to be infinite as it somehow creates a loop. How we are in an organized time stream I do not know. If we weren't in a continuous time stream then the time stream would collapse and time itself wouldn't exists. Therefore we would coexists with everything that did/does/will exists. And going off theory, putting our minds into some form of subconsciousness where nothing and everything is there. This brings up all sorts of parody's, but it's my theory.

3.) (Going off other theories). There are actually microatomic particles in space which create the structure in Space as we know it. It is these that allow Einsteins worm hole formula to work, even though it is unstable. Our current technology cannot see these particles, and possibly never will. If we ever were to leave the limits of the Universe, these microatomic particles would cease to exist past the boundary and therefore either causing us to implode, or be erased from existence altogether. It is these same particles that could cause the wormhole to collapse therefore not allowing instantaneous transfer which is thought possible through the travel through a wormhole if stable, which could be the cosmic way of keeping us in our time stream, and keeping order in the Universe.

4.) It is thought that the Universe is actually something called Dark Matter, which has no definite composition and so can expand forever. It could be that these same particles if any that make up dark matter allow for black holes, worm holes, white holes, and every unexplainable anomaly that is out their. Dark matter can't be traced due to it's lack of electromagnetic radiation, but it is thought that it is because it is not composed of molecular particles, but microatomic particles (see theory 3). So these particles don't emit any radiation whatsoever.

it doesnt go forever. you beleive in the big bang right? when it imploded/exploded it expanded in every direction creating time and space. well its still expanding from that initial big bang. to answer what is beyond space is to answer what was there before the big bang, which is beleived to be nothing.

people say space goes for ever because its always expanding at such a fast rate and will continue to expand forever. if the universe did stop expanding (which would be impossible) then there would be a boundary.

 

the universe isnt contained by anything but itself as there is nothing outside of the universe. the universe is everything that was created during the big bang, and as everything was created during the big bang, it holds everything.

Ok. Listen. Many of you idiots think you know "the truth" when you don't know jack shit. You say "there is no God" like you searched all around the universe for him and didn't find him. You say how the universe was created like you saw it happen yourself. What you faggots have to understand is that the Big Bang and all that are just THEORIES, and you are boasting about them like they are fact.

All we know right now is that the universe is expanding and that galaxies are accelerating away from each other. If galaxies are accelerating, what are they accelerating to? And you faggots can't say that there is or isn't anything beyond the universe because no one has seen what is out there.
