I've been taking a personal vacation from making my review threads, but now I'm back, hopefully.

This drink is quite expensive to get in the U.S. and you'd be paying a minimum of $8 it seems. It is the most popular drink in Scotland and people there love it. It happens to have a very unique ingredient I'll talk about soon. It's citrus flavor, but it tastes nothing like any citrus drink I've had.

I really dig the orange, amber, and blue color scheme. First sip of this soda and I instantly recognized it as something I've had (but haven't reviewed) before. I thought that maybe the color was messing with me so I kept tasting it a few times and well it tastes exactly like Goya Cola Champagne.



It even looks the same.

I'm not sure if it's only me, but when I drink from a bottled drink I always taste some of the metal from the cap. Irn Bru captured that part as well, even though it was in a plastic bottle. It's the interesting last ingredient ammonium ferric citrate that gives it a hint of iron taste (the whole bottle gives you 10% of your DV of Iron).

Since I'm a fan of cola champagne, I'm giving this product a high 4/5.

Should you pay $20 to import it? Probably not. It would be cheaper to find a Mexican import of the cola champagne. I'm about to go out and find a bottle to double-check my claim.

I plan on doing some cola champagne reviews. I tried 3+ brands and I was going to post it. I'll answer your question for you: OK Cola Champagne, I hope.

I've had many, many brands and they are all different except OK and Wonder, but Wonder is just a knock-off of OK as far as I can tell. Dominican Republic ones seem closer to Mexican ones, rather than Puerto Rican ones.

But this one tastes specifically like Goya's take on cola champagne.

If OK isn't the brand you're thinking of, you should really try it.

If it were 2010, I'd send you a couple cans of Four Loko to try out . Too bad they changed the recipe and took all the fun out of it.

 

Well I don't drink so taking the fun is exactly what the product would need. It always seemed like a non-alcoholic version would be fine lol but I still know of people who drink it.

 

Did you hear "Surge" was rereleased? Only place to get it is amazon and its outrageously priced

Yes I found out the next day, unfortunately, when the official stuff was sold out and all that was left were the resellers. I'm not going to buy anything because I have confidence that it will return. I did some research and apparently it tastes a lot like Vault, which I LOVED.

Likewise. I cannot describe either Goya cola champagne, nor Irn Bru but all I know is they taste very similar.

 

Vault and surge are very similar. RIP. Its so fucking good, so much nostalgia with surge. I remember when THPS2 came out on n64 my buddy and I no lifed all night and drank a 12 pack of surge. It would get you pretty geetered out.

 

Bought these so many times... disappointing every time. I know you like it, but uh... I don't. It's fine, but not my thing.

 

From a Scot, I can tell you to rewrite this review after just drinking this while hungover.. it will deffo get a 10/5

yo four lokos are still the shit. now you just get fucked up instead of dying from drinking them. one of my favorite drinks right now is a sidewalk slammer. you drink half a forty, then drink half a four loko, then pour the rest of the four loko into the forty bottle and drink that. it's pretty fucking dope.

Mmm I think I stand by the high 4/5 I gave this product. It's good, it is mostly unique. What sucks is that as soon as I received my shipment from my buddy, a few stores here in Texas started selling Irn Bru (and still do).

 

yeah in England we have it pretty much in all stores, and if they don't then they are horse shit.

I went and bought two cans a while back, about the same size as a can of relentless energy drink. I tell you what, I was buzzing for a while.

 

Irn bru has a unique flavour but for the most part can be likened to bubblegum.
