I'm surprised there isn't any thread yet that is about the death of Bowie. Quite a legend in music history. For those who didn't know; he died the 10th of January after a 18 month period of battling cancer. He died at age 69. This was just after his release of his newest and last album Blackstar, which lyrically is a testament to his life and now the death of him: "Look up here, I’m in heaven" (Taken from Lazarus from Blackstar)

What is your reaction to these tragic news? Do you have any relation to Bowie's music, or is it simply unknown territory?

If yes, what is the album(s) - or song(s) - that you will remember him for?

I'm super bummed. I primarily liked his earlier shit but could get down on some post Ziggy. I had an old girlfriend who was obsessed with him, she would always want to watch the labyrinth .

First Lemmy now Bowie. Who's next? Bad shit usually comes in three's.

I wasn't a huge Bowie fan, but I did like a few of his songs - but regardless if I liked it personally, he was VERY good at what he did, a very talented man and irreplaceable in the industry.

It came in more than 3s this time... Lemmy, Bowie, Alan Rickman, Dan Haggerty (Grizzly Adams, if you're not aware), the Guitarist for the Eagles (can't remember his name) and a couple others as well.

I wasn't a huge Bowie fan either, it's probably because I hadn't listened to any of his songs until recently. My father is a fan of a couple Bowie songs. No doubt he had a major influence on the music industry, so much so that he had a 20 minute dedication on the main news channel in my country. From what I saw from the dedicated report he was a good bloke.

Oh, yeah. He was a huge influence on a lot of music we hear today. Like I said, I'm not a big fan of most of his music, but here's one of my favorites by him :p

Gave my few Bowie LP's a blast the other day. A talented man, and a legendary figure.

My grandma looked after his half-brother Terry Burns, fun fact of the day.
