Dragon Range Tank

I'm aiming for 60 Defense and 99 Ranged for this tank.
I have a question about the armor you should use during the duel.
Should I use armor with defense bonuses such as Dragon or range bonuses such as Dragonhide?

torags helm, karils top, veracs skirt, ranger boots, crystal shield, fury ....

stake mellee people, mages and other rangers. You are near enough un-hittable.

Why the Verac's Skirt? I wouldn't need Prayer bonus because I have no Prayer.

Ah, thanks for the advice to get more defense levels, I'll do that.
Would I be using Onyx Bolts (e) or Dragon Bolts (e)?

ive seen d skirt + med, and black d hide top
the guy dint own tho, i dont think he was a actual tank...
he was only hittin 15s with rune arrows and mage bow O.O

You could get 99 range in like less than a month if you have the cash.

Range in full dragon if you can afford it. Replace helm with d med if you can only afford the chain.

That way there less likely to hit you and you would still hit pretty good using rune c bow with d bolts.

"stake mellee people" - Obiouvsly this guy doesn't know anything about tank staking. First of all, if you stake against melee, use torags legs and in place of karils top use black d hide body instead, has more meele def bonus. Torags legs>Verac's skirt.

get 65 defence, stake shields, wep and arrows on only. 65 def = 3rd age = shield.

drag legs... d med or full helm... fury d hide body barrows gloves...and fire cape = ownage...oh yea drag boots.

get 70 def for barrows, I suppose I'm not a staking/pking expert but I know the 10 def lvls will be worth it for the armor.
