I don't think it'll be extremely rare, but semi-tough to get like a Soul Wars cape or something like that. And why don't use defenders? The only time I see a shield being really necessary is when you're fighting bosses. =|

 

I'm so pumped to get this, I hope it's a pretty intense boss fight to earn yourself one.

Jagex has released a hint on Facebook which basically confirms that the dragon defender will release next week.

Here's the hint:

 

would be nice if it had some special properties like it absorb damage or some shiz would be awesome as

 

They should definitely make it have a Boss battle. if they put it in with the other cyclopes then rune defenders will be taken away from zerkers and rune pures.

 

Wait, how do you know there will be a DRagon Defender?

 

I am excited, I plan on getting 99 Str while attempting to get a D defender. Two achievements in one day =) Currently 97/99

 

Hopefully it's going to be an engaging fight to say the least, farming things is too easy these days, and getting items now is a piece of cake because they have been around for so long.
Jagex should give us some kind of group boss fight, in which we are all rewarded a Dragon Defender is the luck has come to us. xD

 

I can totally picture the new defender having a requirement of 60 Defense, however the stats that it gives better be good..

 

Can't wait till d defender update. I think it'll come with an updat though.
