Downloading without admin password?

[I Eric I]

Just moved into my dorm today and my school issued laptop is pretty much useless to me right now. I need java to play rs and itunes to play my music, but i cant install any of them without the admin privileges. Is there anyway for me to get around this or install onto an external hd and boot from there? Any suggestions would be great.

I think you can use an external, i've done it before with my ipod. Problem is a lot of them you need to access the internet as the files are only saved as shortcuts, plus once you install a lot of them theres still limitations.

best thing to do is ask one of the techs to just install some stuff for you on the spot =p

Download that at home, and burn it on a CD. Boot into it, and it will attempt to find the administrator password on your computer.

or boot ur computer up and press f8 when u see your diagnostic screen and go into safemode and go to administator and then log in with no pass(the pass is nothing) and then go to start.control.accounts.user."your account".change account type and then your done. wayyyyyyyyyyyyy easier

This helped me a lot. It's worth the trouble imo.
