Double your Money! no bs!!!

first off, you need enough money to buy raw materials to make steel bars and the proper smithing lvl (30). if you have around 350k, you can buy enough materials to make 1k steel bars. go to al kharid bank and near that bank is a smelting oven. smelt your ores until you have made all the steel bars you can. now, sell at GE, and notice you spent 350k on the raw materials, and the whole load is worth almost 800k now! bam! more than doubled ur money!!! now keep buying the ore from GE and smelt and over and over and you will have millions! after you hit higher smithing lvls move on to mithril and higher, cuz you gain more cash per ore. smithing is the way to go to make quick cash without having to risk it all. BTW selling the steel bars at the GE takes a little bit, but have never had them sit there for more than a few minutes when a lot of players are on.

Chill out. I doubt you read the rules, but if they haven't changed there's NO FLAMING!!!

This does happen, and you get even more of a profit if you make the steel bars into cannonballs. (4 cannon balls per steel bar.)

 

It happens, but it takes an ass load of time to do.

You could make a hell of a lot more money in that time period though.

 

It's not close to "double your money", and it's a terrible waste of time for making money, although it might be good for experience.

It takes 1 Iron Ore (98) and 2 Coal (176 ea) to make a steel bar, for a cost of 450 per bar.

Steel bars sell for 630, leaving a profit of 180 coins per bar.

So 100k bars will make you $180k, or about 40% on the gold.

Since it requires 1 iron ore and 2 coal to make a steel bar, you can only make 9 each trip from the bank to the furnace. Making 100k of them would take 11,112 trips---yes, over 11,000 trips. If each trip takes 45 seconds, that's about 138 hours, or 5 days and 18 hours, playing 24/7----all to make about 180k, or less than 1500 coins per hour.

Which means that epsilon's claim for making $5 million from this in two weeks----well, do the math for yourself.

Yes this is a great method but it seems like it would be slow running back and forth smithing a lot of bars.

 

I'm sure it does work but it is slow and tedious. I would reccomend you go back and edit the spelling of your guide.

If you want to add on to it, make the steel bars into cannonballs.

 

I think it is best to fit for free players only. It is good exp plus profit in F2P. Wouldn't hurt to eat up time if you are a free player.
