    What is MLG?

MLG stands for "Major League Gaming"
MLG is one of the fastest growing digital networks worldwide, the most recognized brand in eSports and pioneer of the competitive gaming industry.
More information on this can be found HERE

On the MLG website, found HERE, users can play matches on their favorite games for virtual xp or participate in tournaments where they can bring their skills to the test and make some money.

On the UMG website, found HERE, users can play matches for xp and tournaments as well, but they can also play "Cash Out Matches." On the UMG website, users can deposit money into a virtual bank and then "stake" this money on their matches. They can select matches for values of $1-$100+ which makes for playing against people closer to the user's skill level.

A few subcategory ideas (For this proposed section)
    1) MLG Accounts (Selling / Buying)
    2) UMG Accounts (Selling / Buying)
    3) MLG Credits (Selling / Buying)
    4) UMG Credits (Selling / Buying)
    5) Miscellaneous Sales and Services

(Credits are virtual tokens needed to participate in tournaments)

MLG itself has over 1.1 MILLION followers on Twitter

Is there an interest for this here? I haven't seen it.

I wouldn't be able to answer this question, as I haven't looked around for it. My suggestion exists because there's a lot of potential, at least in my opinion. It may not be a topic of preference as of right now, but I do believe it would attract a significant number of new members.

Don't quote me on it though, my estimates never go as planned :p

I think Sythe should be reactive rather than proactive when it comes to this. Should the game emerge to be quite popular with a dynamic market, then Sythe should potentially look into it. With this site expanding to a number of games, it becomes quite obvious when a game is demanding its own market. A quick Google search yields little to no existing strong markets for the game, which is why I think it doesn't need it's own forum as of now.

I can definitely see your point of view, and you did a lot more research than myself. I suggested it because it's something I do and talk about on a regular basis via Twitter, which is why I saw a higher potential. Let's see if anyone else agrees or disagrees with either of us.

I completely agree with you though, don't get me wrong. It really would be obvious when anything shows a high demand.

Gonna have to go with Dunworry on this one. Usually markets have been split up when the demand has been shown, and no doubt that the "other sales" section will see these threads should people want to be buying/selling them.

As there does not seem to be any large amounts of need for markets like these in my opinion, I am not going to support this suggestion.

I see everyone's point of view, and I can't disagree. I just personally thought it would be a cool idea. It's not often I get descriptive suggestions, so I figured I'd share it :) I highly appreciate the fact that all of you took time to read it though, it means a lot. Thanks! <3

I tried doing something with competitive gaming while I was in the CDT and I was unsuccessful. I would guess the only competitive gamers here, are going to be PC players for CS:GO, LOL, and WoW probably

unfortunately, as is the case with many ideas that seem cool to one person, the rest of the world just doesn't feel the same way. i personally don't see the need to add forums for things that people aren't already interested in. in the past, we've tried similar things, but they haven't fostered new communities of people interested in xyz; they just generate empty forums.
