if people have this in their sig for example, can you still get banned if your msn gets hacked and you have to repay?? because i will rage if i have to pay someone back even though i have this in my sig
I don't see why you would have to. Others might have different points though. But you might also want to state a short reason to why people shouldn't trade you.
The hacker could easily take it out of your sig then try to scam people making them unaware. What we really need is a usergroup for non traders that says something along those lines, then it would not be able to be changed by the hacker. Just realized you said if MSN is hacked, mine more refera to if both or if Sythe acct is hacked. Bad thing about getting a sythe account hacked is they can just edit in a new msn to be contacted at and everything would look legit, execpt possibly to previous customers. With MSN only, I really don't know but we should have a system figured out to addresd these things.
i doubt my sythe acc will be comprimised because the email isnt even linked to my sythe acc, its to a different personal address with a randomized password i have written down at home so its safe but my msn can still be hacked apparently
I suggest you create a hush email. You can register here. This cannot be recovered and is used by big traders that has experienced hacks like this in the past. Just say that it is your only MSN and you should be fine.
It's still not perfectly safe. Because when you create the MSN Live Passport for your Hushmail email, it's almost like making a windows Live account. You can still recover it just as easily. I think the Staff would still make you pay, Stui. But that's my opinion.
more then likely you will have to pay unless you have proof that you can provide that it wasnt you for ex the IP was from a diffrent country and so on just my opinion tho
I don't think you necessarily have to, as you should always trade with a PM etc. so it's their fault. I know that Arcus Isidar payed back something like $3000 to someone.
This was before he knew and mentioned that his worker was hacked. I don't think he was supposed to pay after he said that his worker got hacked and no trades should be done with that email. But it's a different case if you tell people "Don't trade with me" when compared to "My MSN got hacked, don't trade with me"
Regardless of whether a PM was sent, it's still put as the Sellers fault and the victim must get a full refund. Their has been threads regarding this in the past, and theirs currently one in the Feedback section at the moment by R2Pleasant. It's a pretty controversial topic which always comes up when theirs a major hacking.
