Don't know what to do.

I am in between a rock and a hard place currently. I was planning on joining USMC and hopefully get into police work later on in my life. But there is a side thing that I have passionately loved since i was in 6th grade and its politics. I am majoring in Political Science. I meet with some members of GOP(Republican Party in the USA) and there willing to send me to training for Community Organisation and Campaigning. Which in return do a internship which could open many doors for me. No clue what to choose serve my country or do a job that could lead me to other places.

 

Go with your passion.

If you are passionate about serving your country, then by all means do it. However if your passion in politics trumps that of joining the USMC, then do politics.

If you choose a career path you are passionate about, you will never regret it.

 

There is A LOT of bullshit and drama when enrolling in the police force tbh. I know of many friends who have given up duty because of all the two-faced competitors you will be working for/with. I would shoot for politics if it could potentially open up a lot of doors for you.

Go for the job that opens up many doors.

If you play your cards right, money and happiness are just a few years away.

 

Go for what ever makes you happy the most.
You don't want to get a job that you don't like.
Even if you do make a lot of money, you will be miserable.

 

I agree with what Spade says 100%.
Although, if you take a political route and reach high places, I assume you could do a lot for the police force with your political influences.
