How does it make them more money? It is essentially Jagex selling gift cards for membership. Their revenue is increased because not every bond will be redeemed, someone may get banned or quit with a number of them on their account.

 

There IS a gold sink. You can only buy untradeable Bonds on the ge and to make them tradeable you have to pay 10% of the market price to prevent excess merching AND provides a gold sink. So read properly before complaining, it seems most rs players have that problem.

 

Well the panic rush got me a ton of cheap bonds, and made me a nice profit at one stage, I was making 7m on each one, and I sold about 15, so that's 105m for free. Can't complain at that.

You're right entirely. Everytime Jagex brings out some way that they are going to "Kill" botters or goldfarmers or anything, I just sit back and laugh. The RuneScape cheating/blackmarket will only die when no-one plays the game anymore, because there always is a way, or members will always find a way to dodge Jagex's attempts.

When it comes to people saying "Players will now just buy Bonds from Jagex and then sell them for GP because it's safer than using Sythe", well first of all bonds aren't that needed, they'll almost only be used for membership, gold trading is a lot bigger than the need for membership, and other reasons.

 

How are they trying to scare anyone?

I like bonds, but I don't like the way it was introduced into the game.

Buying membership for gp directly is a blessing, but buying bonds just to sell for gp is pretty bad..
