Anime Addicts.

Lately there has been a increasing amount of anime/manga.
I really don't even like those comics,shows,or magazines since most of the sutff on there is just Japanese perverts.
My question to you addicts is why the hell do you like anime so much?
There really no point to it.IMO
(Since I know BMTH will come to this thread and bark...the point this thread is why people like anime)

Things that cost too much money to be captured in real life, is instead captured on cartoon.

 

I'll make my answer to the point, manga makes me hard.

 

Anime / manga is a valid fictional medium just as a novel, a movie, or a T.V. sitcom is. What I find most entertaining about them is they tend to have better stories than a movie or sitcom. Most of them also finish, which means I can actually appreciate the story, rather than just drag on filler for several seasons (unless you're talking about Bleach or Naruto >_>).

I find anime better to watch than anything Western recently, so far as I'm concerned right now Western films are in the dumps. It could be something to do with the fact that I'm a Japanese student, but that only really means that I learn more vocabulary from watching it. I just find the quality of Western films are slipping in general.

As for manga, it's sort of the same thing. I do realise that stories are told best in text, however I simply enjoy reading manga.

You don't have the right to bash on other people's personal preference of fictional medium, so don't.

I didn't smart one.
I just simply asked why everyone likes it so much.
If I would have said something like the following:
"ohhh anime is so fking stupid y dus every1 like it?! wtfux?!"
Then I would be bashing personal preferences.

What's so different from Western and Eastern books?

Manga is more along the lines of comics, and the stories between Western comics and manga differs.

I was reminded of a certain argument I had with the YouTube community, so rather than tell you that you are (which you are not, but which your sentence could easily lead in to), I reminded you not to just in case.

Japanese animations are widely accepted as the best animated medium in the world purely for the fact that their style of artwork for such a thing is superior to any other culture. Because of this, and due to the lack of restrictions in animation and drawing to an extent, the story can be conveyed POWERFULLY. Manga is similar except it isn't animated.

I'll explain the differences between Western and Japanese animation just to clarify differences to the best of my ability, however it is quite hard to do so because I can't cater for every single cartoon and anime ever created, nor their artists. While some Western cartoons are adult oriented, the majority of them can not be watched and enjoyed by more mature audiences. However Japanese animations are often made to be enjoyed by adults or a mature age bracket (only a minority of those are perverse). Example, Western action cartoons (e.g. Batman, Superman, The Phantom) are not overly enjoyed by mature audiences. Japanese action anime (e.g. Devil May Cry, Ghost in the Shell, Elfen Lied to an extent) can be greatly appreciated and enjoyed by mature audiences. I find it interesting just how much The Matrix was inspired by anime. The Matrix uses camera shots, story elements etc. That prior were only used in anime due to the difficulty to convert to real world acting. The story was also majorly inspired by things like Ghost in the Shell. I can honestly say if I were to pick a favourite Western movie / movie series, The Matrix would be it.

 

Don't American comics all have to follow a set of rules about their content? It's the reason American comics are all about superheroes with an exaggerated sense of morality. I remember reading that somewhere.

Anime is usually a series of episodes...cartoons...so did you know what it meant when you said is it supposed to turn them on?

 

He may have been referring to what is known as Hentai or Ecchi. Both of which mean "pervert", "perverted", or "perverse." and are sexual in nature. The terms are actually an adjective used to refer to perverse people or things, rather than a specific genre.

 

Ask Fatih. He would know from what I've read .

Anime porn is disgusting and made for some pretty perverted people. Cartoon porn WTF?

 

I like them because they are better then western cartoons and most tv shows.
